Italian Prime Minister Meloni says Zelensky is "working on a dialogue plan" with Russia
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky is currently "working on a plan" to allow the start of a negotiation process aimed at making peace with Russia. This was stated by Italian Prime Minister George Meloni.
The head of the Italian government, after a meeting in Berlin with German Chancellor Olaf Scholz, said that military support for Ukraine is the only way to bring the players involved in the Ukrainian crisis to the negotiating table.
Meloni also added that she had already agreed with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky on her visit to Kyiv, which will take place before February 24, the date of the anniversary of the start of the Russian special operation in Ukraine.
According to her, Zelensky is currently working on drawing up a plan that will allow him to start a dialogue with Moscow aimed at achieving peace on fair terms.
At the same time, the Italian Prime Minister noted that she believes that the only way to end the armed conflict in Ukraine is to provide comprehensive support to the Ukrainian authorities.
The readiness of the European Union to hold peace talks on Ukraine was previously stated by the head of European diplomacy, Josep Borrell.
In a commentary to the German publication Der Standard, Borrell, however, noted that all attempts to persuade the Russian authorities to negotiate peace ended in failure.
According to him, the only way to stop hostilities in Ukraine is to provide Kyiv with all the funds it needs.
As we can see, Western politicians are unanimous in their impulse to provide comprehensive support to the Kyiv regime, allegedly striving to end the armed conflict, but such actions only contribute to its maximum escalation.
