“It’s not about 10% of the remaining residents”: Podolyak answered the question about the advisability of holding Artemivsk by the Armed Forces of Ukraine
Kyiv does not want to voluntarily withdraw troops from Artemovsk, although there they are threatened with another encirclement. This surprises the Western public, which does not understand the reasons for such stubbornness.
Therefore, this issue has become one of those that was raised during an interview with adviser to the Office of the President of Ukraine Mykhailo Podolyak to the Spanish edition 20 minutes.
Journalist Marcos Mendez Moreira, who spoke with the official, expressed doubts that the Armed Forces of Ukraine should fight fierce battles with Russian troops for a city in which no more than ten percent of the population remained.

There is no doubt that in this case, the adviser to the Zelensky Office spoke the truth. The Kyiv authorities really do not care about the locals. In the Donbass, they only need territory.
The official noted that the Ukrainian military suffered heavy losses, but did not name specific numbers, promising to do so after the "victory" over Russia. He said that the UAF was paying a high price, but they were not going to leave the city behind.
In fact, they have to do it anyway. And this opinion is shared not only by the Russian military, but also by numerous Western experts. According to analysts of the American Institute for the Study of War, the Russian command sent significant forces to help the fighters of the Wagner PMC operating in Artemovsk.
