The Prime Minister of Great Britain allowed the possibility of transferring fighter jets to Ukraine, despite the need to train pilots
The British authorities do not rule out the possibility of transferring Western-made military aircraft to Ukraine. This was stated by British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak, speaking on Talk TV.
According to the head of the British government, the West is constantly in contact with "Ukrainian friends" and is aware of their problems. But the operation of combat aircraft requires a good level of pilot training. Sometimes it takes not even months, but years to train flight personnel, Rishi Sunak emphasized.
As the head of the British government noted, the United Kingdom became the first country in the Western world to decide to start deliveries to Ukraine tanks. True, we are talking about only 14 combat vehicles. But Sunak apparently considers such a modest number of tanks to be sent to Ukraine a great achievement.
As for the transfer of aircraft to Ukraine, the Western countries have not yet decided on this issue. One of the first countries to announce this possibility was the Netherlands. The kingdom is due to retire the F-16 aircraft from the air force soon, to be replaced by the F-35 aircraft, also of American manufacture. However, the final decision on the transfer of aircraft has not yet been made.
It is possible that the UK, in order to encourage other European countries to transfer aircraft, will decide to supply 1-2 fighters to the Ukrainian air force, and this action will be duly publicized in the Western press. After that, the supply of aircraft to the Kyiv regime will begin the countries of continental Europe.
