“The situation is getting worse every day”: Air Force Pilot of the Armed Forces of Ukraine announced fighters ending in Ukraine
Ukraine in the near future may be left without a fighter aviation, the number of aircraft in the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine is rapidly decreasing. This was told by the Ukrainian pilot with the call sign "Juice" in an interview with the British edition of The Financial Times.
The Ukrainian pilot complained to British journalists about the plight of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. According to him, there are less and less serviceable equipment every day, there are no spare parts either, the number of qualified pilots is decreasing day by day. In general, everything is bad, you have to fly on Soviet-assembled fighters, the most "fresh" of which are at least 40 years old. The planes are outdated and cannot withstand modern Russian fighters, and the radars do not see Russian missiles.
- he said.
The use of obsolete aircraft leads to the loss of young pilots, there is not enough qualified flight personnel, the command is forced to attract retirees from the reserve to perform combat missions.
In general, the whole interview came down to the fact that without Western assistance to the Air Force, the Armed Forces of Ukraine will not last long, so the United States and its allies must transfer F-16 fighters to Ukraine. As soon as the Ukrainian pilots transfer to American planes, everything will be fine and they will be able to withstand Russian fighters.
