A close explosion of a projectile destroyed a Ukrainian BTR-4E

A video appeared on the network filmed by a Ukrainian soldier after the defeat of armored vehicles of the Armed Forces of Ukraine by artillery fire from Russian troops.

Judging by the footage, the shell fell between the BTR-4E and the BMP-3 (apparently captured). Its close detonation tore apart both units of enemy equipment: the armored personnel carrier lost its turret, and the infantry fighting vehicle was seriously deformed.

Here is the parish, and here is the yeshka [BTR-4E]

- says the Ukrainian soldier, pointing to the distance between the crater and the equipment.

The footage shows the remote-controlled combat module BM-7 "Sail", which is characteristic of the 4E version, flying off to the side. On an armored personnel carrier, it was located in the rear of the hull (the landing compartment was behind the fighting compartment; in front of them were the MTO and the control compartment in the front segment)

Only a guided missile can cope with this technique. weapon or aviation

- said the manufacturer.

Initially, the BTR-4E was intended for Iraq, but the authorities of this country, having received the first batches, terminated the contract for their supply, revealing the poor quality of Ukrainian armored vehicles. As a result, the vehicles ordered by Baghdad were transferred to the National Guard at a price of $ 1,5 million per unit, then the transfer of the BTR-4E to the army began. According to the IISS, as of 2022, there were about a hundred armored personnel carriers of this type in the Armed Forces of Ukraine. At present, they are encountered at the front less and less, being knocked out in battles and giving way to Western models of technology.

Not even a hit, but a close gap. Cool. It is time for the Armed Forces of Ukraine to think about an organized, without fuss and haste, surrender. Better this way than in the form of a burnt carcass in the ground Yes

Boiler steel instead of armor. This is fine.

So gratings are against cumuls, how will they save from 152-200 shells?

In the event that an RPG is triggered on the grate, it will still burn through such armor through both sides

That's it, in case. This is where the grid is needed. so that there is less chance.

Type :- "And with one bullet he killed them both..." (C) Yes
It is somewhat doubtful that one shell five meters away could so gut the equipment, and the funnel is not very large. Still, probably there could still be anti-tank systems.

And what is the question, then this is an armored personnel carrier, it burns from heavy machine guns. It's about the same kinetic energy. Even more.

The shell could hit the armored personnel carrier (its wheels even flew off) and the infantry fighting vehicle stood nearby, so it got it too. And it is not necessary that the projectile could be a mine from the "Tulip".

If you carefully watched the video, you should have seen that two BTR-4 and BMP-3 vehicles were destroyed by one explosion.
When a 152 mm caliber projectile explodes in a couple of meters, it’s not enough and it won’t seem to the tank. It won’t destroy it, but it will demolish everything attached to the armor, and maybe even damage the chassis.

Exactly. During WWII, a close (5 ~ 10m) FAB-50 gap destroyed even T-IVs, and panthers and tigers could be disabled. And then there are infantry fighting vehicles and armored personnel carriers, which are similar in terms of booking level to T-I and T-II. Apparently, OFS 122 or 152 mm exploded 5 meters from the cars and they had enough.

Direct hit of 122 mm ofs 56-1 from d-30 into the tank. Ugledar direction. The dill tank terrified our soldiers for a long time. Pure luck, hit at night.

20 meters hit by a projectile is considered to be the destruction of the target. From such a distance, the armored personnel carrier flashes through fragments

Finger-thick cracks in armor are not low quality, they are outright rubbish.

The video itself is pleasing to the eye. It is sad that dozens and dozens of units of Russian, captured, armored vehicles are used against Russian fighters.

the video clearly shows that an armored personnel carrier was shot down with artillery. BMP-3 was hit by something else. at such a distance, the BMP-3 calmly holds shell fragments. plus she burns it.
