The head of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine said that Moscow is preparing an offensive in two directions

According to Ukrainian Defense Minister Alexei Reznikov, Russian troops are preparing major offensives in two likely directions, for which Moscow has mobilized 500000 troops. Reznikov said this in an interview with the French TV channel BFMTV.
The Minister of Defense of Ukraine noted that the Russian offensive could begin both in the Donbass and in the south, apparently referring to Zaporozhye. Reznikov repeated the words previously heard from Kyiv regarding the probable timing of the offensive of the Russian Armed Forces. Since Moscow is used to tying its actions to certain significant dates, it is obvious that the offensive will begin around February 24, Reznikov believes.
He also added that according to Ukrainian estimates, up to half a million mobilized Russian soldiers are allegedly concentrated around Ukraine, and not 300, as they say in Russia.
Many experts in the West and in Russia have already spoken about the probable offensive of the Russian troops before spring, but this is associated not with being tied to any date, but with the desire to start it before the next Western weapons arrive at the front, including Tanks.
In turn, the head of the Pentagon, Lloyd Austin, said that Washington intends to supply Kyiv with everything it needs, which will allow it to launch a counteroffensive in the spring.
