“We were six months late”: Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Zaluzhny expressed dissatisfaction with the pace of military assistance from Western countries
The Russian army is moving forward, and the Ukrainian one is suffering losses due to the lack of the necessary amount of modern armored vehicles and other weapons. The West is late with deliveries weaponsfor at least six months. This was stated by the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Zaluzhny.
The Ukrainian general expressed dissatisfaction with the pace of deliveries of Western military equipment, especially tanks. According to him, they were needed last fall, but Western countries refused to supply them, which led to the current situation. Zaluzhny emphasized that the lost six months allowed the Russian army to go on the offensive, and the Armed Forces of Ukraine lost the best units in the Bakhmut direction and continue to lose scarce armored vehicles destroyed by Russian artillery.
If the US and Europe had delivered only 300 tanks to Ukraine last year, the Ukrainian army could have gone on the offensive and the situation would look very different now.

Earlier, former head of the Pentagon Mark Esper made accusations of the United States of too slow delivery of weapons to Ukraine. The former defense minister of the Donald Trump administration said that at such a pace, the West will not have time to arm Kyiv before the Russian army advances. In his opinion, tanks should have been supplied to Kyiv in the fall, now it may be too late.
