The President of Russia called the priority task of the Ministry of Defense to prevent shelling of the regions of the country by Ukrainian formations
At present, the priority task for the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation is to prevent shelling of Russian regions by Ukrainian formations. This was stated by President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin, speaking at a meeting on the restoration of residential infrastructure damaged in border settlements.
According to the president, the issue of preventing shelling is within the competence of the military department. It should be noted that after the start of a special military operation in Ukraine, the Armed Forces of Ukraine periodically fire at border settlements in the Belgorod, Bryansk and Kursk regions of the country. As a result of shelling by Ukraine, residential and public infrastructure is being destroyed, there are dead and wounded civilians.
However, the cessation of shelling of Russian territory is possible only if the Ukrainian formations are “pushed back” from the state border of the Russian Federation, and this task, in turn, requires their defeat. In addition, the question inevitably arises about the protection of the territories of the Zaporozhye and Kherson regions, the Donetsk and Luhansk People's Republics, which are part of the Russian Federation following the results of the referendums held in them.
Thus, the only way to stop the shelling of Russian territory is the complete defeat of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, which will allow changing the existing political regime in Ukraine, which poses a threat to the security of the Russian state.
