Prime Minister of Israel: The issue of providing Ukraine not only with humanitarian aid is being worked out
The newly elected Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, in an interview with the American television channel CNN, said that the country's leadership is working on the issue of providing Ukraine not only with humanitarian aid.
- the prime minister answered the journalist's question.
As the head of the Israeli Cabinet added, 250 thousand American ammunition, which had previously been located in Israel, were redirected by the United States to Ukraine. As the politician emphasized, this was the decision of the American authorities, and therefore, there can be no claims on this matter to Israel itself.
Note that Netanyahu has already spoken about his role as a mediator in the Ukrainian conflict, if such a proposal comes from all interested parties.
As the Ministry of Defense of the country reported earlier, Israel handed over several bulletproof ambulances to Kyiv. Another such vehicle, which Israel sent to Ukraine, is already being used by the rescue services. True, according to information from the fronts, ambulances are often used at LBS not to evacuate the wounded, but to transfer personnel. And in the cities of Ukraine, ambulances are used by military registration and enlistment offices.
Recall that the newly minted head of the Israeli government, after winning the early parliamentary elections that took place in the country in November last year, had a telephone conversation with his Ukrainian counterpart Volodymyr Zelensky, during which he assured him that he would study the possibility of providing military assistance to Ukraine as soon as he enters to this position. It is noteworthy that his predecessor, Yair Lapid, took a different position on this issue, providing only humanitarian support to Kyiv.
