Lithuanian President: The West has more than once succeeded in erasing Russia's "red lines"
As many experts previously suggested, if the West lifts at least one of the three bans (Tanks, aircraft, long-range missiles) regarding the supply of weapons to Kyiv, soon after that the remaining two may also “fall”.
So, as soon as the United States and its allies announced the transfer of NATO-style tanks to the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the talk had already turned to fighters and missiles.
In particular, Lithuanian President Gitanas Nauseda insists on the transfer of the latter to Kyiv. In his interview to the LRT TV channel, the politician said that the supply of the above types of weapons would be a significant support for the Ukrainian army. Therefore, in his words, this should not be delayed.
At the same time, Nausėda added that the West has more than once succeeded in erasing Russia's "red lines". For example, when Ukraine received the status of a candidate candidate for the EU and NATO... Therefore, according to the politician, Moscow's reaction to the supply of offensive weapons should not be feared.
Finally, the Lithuanian leader noted that his country had already provided assistance to Ukraine for hundreds of millions of euros. Meanwhile, Vilnius will continue to support Kyiv further.
Speaking of the last one. Just a few days after the West announced the supply of its tanks for the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Zelensky's office announced that they would ask for planes and missiles.
Statements about the "red lines" sound ironically. But here is the case when, as they say, they themselves are to blame. Often, “red lines” are indicated only in words, but a tough response after they are crossed by the West and its Ukrainian puppet does not always follow.
