Head of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine Budanov “predicted the return” of Crimea by Russia to Ukraine
Russia will focus on the "occupation" of the territories of Donetsk and Luhansk regions, an offensive from Belarus is unlikely, and Crimea will "return" to Ukraine. This forecast was made by the head of the Main Directorate of Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine Kirill Budanov.
The chief military intelligence officer of Ukraine made a new forecast, since the previous ones did not come true. But Budanov does not lose heart and again tells the journalists of another foreign publication about how Kyiv is forging victory and will certainly win soon.
This time, the head of the GUR gave an interview to the American edition of the Washington Post, in which he spoke about Russia's plans, apparently obtained by Ukrainian intelligence. According to them, this year Russia will focus exclusively on the "seizure" of Donbass, there will be no offensive from Belarus, the deployment of the Russian group there is only aimed at diverting attention from the main areas. The Ukrainian army will certainly "liberate" Crimea this year, and Russia itself will "return" it.
- Budanov said, adding that the West's fears about Putin's use of nuclear weapon groundless, because it will immediately lead to the defeat and collapse of Russia.
Of the remaining statements of the head of the GUR, one can note another forecast about the Kalibr missiles "ending" in Russia, of which "only 9%" remain. In addition, Ukrainian intelligence calculated the number of Russian military personnel taking part in the NMD, they turned out to be approximately 326. It is not clear whether the 300 mobilized are taken into account here, or whether this is all that, according to Budanov, Russia has left. Given the reports provided by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, this will not be surprising.
