The leader of the German CDU party criticized the head of the German Foreign Ministry for his statement about the "war with Russia"
In her recent statement, German Foreign Minister Annalena Berbock said that Europe is "waging war against Russia." For this, she was sharply criticized by CDU leader Friedrich Merz.
In an article for the German edition of Focus, the politician stressed that such "careless" statements by the Minister of Foreign Affairs are unacceptable, as they can be used by the political opponents of Germany.
In particular, Merz believes that Burbock's words about the war with Russia can be used, as he put it, by Kremlin propaganda. The politician noted that Moscow may well present German assistance to Ukraine as a direct military confrontation with Russia.
However, against the backdrop of a recent statement by an adviser to Zelensky Podolyak's office, Burbock's statement does not look like such a gross mistake.
The last, after the attack of the unknown drones on objects in Iran, wrote on his page on the social network the phrase: "Ukraine warned you."
After that, the Iranian Foreign Ministry summoned the Ukrainian ambassador.
In general, many experts believe that Podolyak's words could have serious consequences for Ukraine. Meanwhile, an adviser to Zelenskiy's office remains in office while his colleague Arestovich was forced to resign over the truth about the downed Russian missile in Dnepropetrovsk.
