The head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, Andriy Yermak, announced "positive signals" from the Polish authorities regarding the possible supply of fighter jets to the Ukrainian army. According to Yermak, the Polish government is ready, in coordination with the NATO military bloc, to transfer fighter jets to Kyiv.
The German authorities had previously stated that under no circumstances would they hand over the fighter jets to Ukraine. German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius said that there could be no question of supplying such equipment to the Ukrainian army. True, at one time they also spoke about tanks.
According to Western media, internal debates initiated by representatives of the Baltic states are ongoing among NATO countries on the issue of possible deliveries of jet fighter aircraft to Kyiv. aviation. However, the governments of large EU countries are expressing fears that such supplies may lead to a new round of escalation in the armed conflict in Ukraine. In turn, the Pentagon is trying to initiate the start of deliveries of F-16 fighter jets to Kyiv by the EU countries.
It is also reported that the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense signed 16 state contracts with manufacturers drones, thereby significantly increasing the volume of purchases drones for the APU. About 20 billion hryvnias (about 37,5 billion rubles) of budgetary funds have already been allocated for this.
The contracts include drones for a wide range of applications - air-to-surface, designed both for adjusting the fire of artillery systems, strike drones and UAVs for other purposes.
