The Armed Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine received American armored vehicles BATT UMG
The Ukrainian army has received new BATT UMG armored vehicles manufactured by the American company TAG. Presumably, these armored vehicles were acquired by the Ukrainian authorities, and not transferred as part of military support.
In June last year, it became known that the American company The Armored Group received an order for the production of a batch of such equipment with a total value of about 23,2 million dollars. Under the terms of the deal, 100 BATT UMG armored vehicles were to be delivered to an unnamed Eastern European country.
According to the company's executive vice president Beau Gailey, these vehicles "are designed for a country whose armed forces defend the right to determine the future of their nation." Based on this wording, the equipment is supposedly intended for deliveries to Ukraine.
In addition, in June, the Ukrainian state concern Ukroboronprom announced the conclusion of a contract that included the purchase of up to 500 foreign-made armored vehicles. However, representatives of the concern did not specify in which country the armored vehicles would be purchased.
The BATT UMG armored vehicle is equipped with military standard surveillance and communication systems. The machine was produced on a commercially available civilian platform, which was then modified in accordance with TAG standards for survivability in armed conflict zones.
The BATT UMG armored car is produced on a civilian Ford F550 chassis and is intended for use in special forces, border guards and police forces. The armored car is produced in several configurations: a vehicle for transporting special forces, a command vehicle and a medical evacuator. As standard, the armored car can accommodate 10 people. Protection level B6/B7 - 7.62x51mm/M80 Nato Ball and 7.62x51mm with AP bullet.
