The Armed Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine received American armored vehicles BATT UMG

The Ukrainian army has received new BATT UMG armored vehicles manufactured by the American company TAG. Presumably, these armored vehicles were acquired by the Ukrainian authorities, and not transferred as part of military support.

In June last year, it became known that the American company The Armored Group received an order for the production of a batch of such equipment with a total value of about 23,2 million dollars. Under the terms of the deal, 100 BATT UMG armored vehicles were to be delivered to an unnamed Eastern European country.

According to the company's executive vice president Beau Gailey, these vehicles "are designed for a country whose armed forces defend the right to determine the future of their nation." Based on this wording, the equipment is supposedly intended for deliveries to Ukraine.

In addition, in June, the Ukrainian state concern Ukroboronprom announced the conclusion of a contract that included the purchase of up to 500 foreign-made armored vehicles. However, representatives of the concern did not specify in which country the armored vehicles would be purchased.

The BATT UMG armored vehicle is equipped with military standard surveillance and communication systems. The machine was produced on a commercially available civilian platform, which was then modified in accordance with TAG standards for survivability in armed conflict zones.

The BATT UMG armored car is produced on a civilian Ford F550 chassis and is intended for use in special forces, border guards and police forces. The armored car is produced in several configurations: a vehicle for transporting special forces, a command vehicle and a medical evacuator. As standard, the armored car can accommodate 10 people. Protection level B6/B7 - 7.62x51mm/M80 Nato Ball and 7.62x51mm with AP bullet.

    With the number of armored vehicles, armored personnel carriers, infantry fighting vehicles, tanks will soon be brought up, infantry will be caught, the Armed Forces of Ukraine will become very mobile and they will trample on a decisive offensive, despite the loss of people and equipment, they need victory at ANY cost.

      So you need to concentrate, bring the fuel and then forward under the howitzers a normal move on the type of armored vehicles, under 120 mm mortars and more, but to hell with them, it’s not a pity.

    The machine is not an army one, it was made for PMCs, which in the USA have restrictions on the purchase of armored vehicles. But it looks like the car turned out well.
    BATT UMG, a version of the "civilian" SUV, equipped with a mine protection system and to maintain performance in the face of increased weight of additional armor in the car, a reinforced axle design was used.
    Specifications BATT UMG:

    dimensions - 6015 × 2317 × 2418 mm;
    ground clearance - 356 mm;
    seating layout - 2 + 6 or 2 + 8;
    door - 3+ hatch in the tower on the roof;
    weight - 10100 kg + 1600 kg of cargo;
    engine - Ford Power Stroke, 6,7 l, turbocharged V8 diesel;
    maximum power - 330 hp;
    maximum speed - 100 km / h;
    gearbox - automatic, 6-speed;
    transmission - 4 × 4;
    fuel tank - 257 l.

    And they didn’t deliver them, but bought them. There is more money in the stash.

    I'm not talking about the military component. Like the design! )

      Interestingly, do the "dealers" give a set of winter tires, floor mats, or any other "goodies"? :)

    I hope that the car will be "caught" and disassembled, for the further use of their design solutions with us

      There is nothing special there. The car is not military, the Ford pickup truck is taken as the basis. Put on armor. Everything. Machine for PMC.

    There has been a trend to replace wheeled armored personnel carriers with such MCIs (on a civilian trolley). But following the example of early armored personnel carriers, it would be possible to add a third bridge for cross-country ability, cars then weigh more than armored personnel carriers 82, and there are only two bridges, and in such conflicts they are used off-road instead of armored personnel carriers.

    The allies put another piece of rubbish. Most likely the cars that fought in Afghanistan were tinted, combed and voila.

    History sold. Faith sold. They go around the world and fight with us. How will these people continue to live? If Mazepa is a "national hero", then both the people and the state are the same.
