Russia has created a radar station capable of detecting lightweight drones
Russian researchers have developed a new radar station (RLS) capable of detecting low-weight drones.
According to the press service of the National Technology Initiative, the station was assembled using components exclusively of domestic production and is capable of tracking even light aircraft weighing 10 grams or more that do not fall into the line of sight at a distance of up to 150 kilometers.
The station is capable of detecting and measuring the coordinates of unmanned aerial vehicles, regardless of the time of day and weather conditions, as well as determining their range, speed of movement, and then transmitting the received data.
In addition, Russian enterprises that are part of the Rostec system are massively creating reconnaissance and strike Dronesdesigned for the needs of a special military operation. The mass appearance of such equipment radically changed the nature of warfare. Small tactical drones are capable of conducting reconnaissance operations, automatically detect enemy positions, and also direct artillery strikes. In addition, copters can drop grenades at the enemy.
At present, domestic Lancet attack drones, which were developed by specialists from the Kalashnikov concern, are widely used at the front. Drones of this type have already shown their high performance.
The "Lancet" is capable of carrying high-explosive fragmentation and cumulative ammunition and hitting enemy equipment and manpower at a distance of 40-70 kilometers.
