The Deputy Foreign Minister of Russia commented on the recruitment of IT specialists with knowledge of the Russian language by the British intelligence services
The Russian Foreign Ministry commented on the information of the British edition of The Times about the recruitment of IT specialists with knowledge of the Russian language by the British special services. The material of the publication indicates that the national cybersecurity service of the United Kingdom is engaged in such a set.
Such activities in conversation with TASS commented the Deputy Foreign Minister of Russia Oleg Syromolotov.
According to him, the intensification of British activities against Russia in cyberspace is no longer surprising. He recalled that NATO forces, including Britain directly, regularly conduct training on cyber attacks on Russian government institutions in the Kaliningrad region, as well as on attacks on the energy system of the Russian capital.
Oleg Syromolotov noted that the British intelligence services choose targets in Russia, including in the information sphere. And this activity is carried out, among other things, against the background of the growing degrees of Russophobia, promoted by London itself.
In an interview with journalists, the Russian Deputy Minister noted that Britain often sponsors the anti-Russian activities of Ukrainian hackers.
Apparently, the “shelf” of Russian-speaking hackers in Britain has recently increased precisely after the mass migration of Ukrainians from the country. Many, having specialized education and relevant skills, came to the attention of the British intelligence services, which offer them work in terms of preparing to commit anti-Russian crimes in the information and communication environment.
By and large, it can be stated that Britain has long been waging at least a cyber war against our country.
