Made in Europe - Adolf Hitler
The Fuhrer was named Man of the Year in 1938. At the time, he was at the height of his popularity in the Western world.
90 years ago Hitler was appointed Chancellor of Germany
Dropout artist
On November 20, 1922, the assistant to the American military attache in Germany, Captain Truman Smith, arrived from the capital of Germany in Munich in Bavaria. The captain had a conversation and compiled a detailed report for the authorities about what he heard:
The American's interlocutor was Adolf Hitler.
Adolf was born on April 20, 1889 in Austria. I loved history, geography and drawing. In his youth, he drew well and dreamed of becoming an artist. To improve his artistic talents in 1907, Hitler went to Vienna. I could not enter the Academy of Fine Arts.
After the death of his mother, he finally moved to the capital of Austria. When changing his place of residence, he pretended to be an "academic artist" or "writer". He painted and sold postcards, signs and paintings. He even made some money.
Pan-Germanism
During this period, Adolf stewed in a muddy environment of degraded intellectuals. Eagerly absorbed fashionable ideas at that time. Thus, at the beginning of the XNUMXth century, and especially during the First World War, the German world was swept by waves of militant pan-Germanism. The theories generally recognized in that era about the superiority of the white race, "civilized" peoples over the "backward", about the great mission of the white man, were brought to their logical end. It is worth noting that the Germans took almost all of this ideology from the Anglo-Saxons. It was the British who created their world colonial empire, where the white race dominated the "backward" countries and tribes. And the corresponding ideology of social Darwinism, racism.
Pan-Germanists carried out yet another gradation: within the white race. Who is the most intelligent, disciplined and brave? Of course, the Germans! So, they should take the leading place on the planet! During the war, this was the official ideology of the Second Kaiser's Reich. The superiority of the northern, Germanic race was affirmed. France was declared degenerate, dying out. The Latin (Romance) peoples passed the zenith of their greatness. The Slavs are a historical enemy, "backward ethnic material". Britain pursues only material interests. Only Germany can help humanity develop in the right direction.
The need for a cleansing war was promoted. The chief of the military-historical department of the General Staff, Bernhardi, in the book "Germany and the Next War" (it was a bestseller and distributed in huge editions) explained:
It followed from this that war should not be avoided, but rather prepared for it in order to prove their right to exist during natural selection. That the Germans must organize a great forced migration of the lower peoples. On these ideas the Third Reich will be built.
Fight against the Slavs
The Pan-Germanists planned to share world domination with England. Destroy France as a great power. But the main thing is the fight against the Slavs, its conquest and destruction.
The official ideologue Paul Rohrbach believed that
Time goes by and nothing changes. In 2022-2023 we are once again facing Western aggression. They want to dismember and destroy Russian civilization in "interests of European security».
Rohrbach was echoed by another prominent pan-Germanist Chen, who wrote about the Russians:
The German Kaiser-Emperor Wilhelm II himself was fond of similar ideas. In Germany, the cult of the Kaiser flourished, and later the cult of Hitler would also be created. German society raved about the ideas of "blood and iron", the survival of the race, the historical mission of the Germans. The war was propagated by numerous militaristic organizations: the Pan-German Union, the Military Union, the German Colonial Partnership, the Naval League, the Defense League, etc. At the solemn processions, the burghers and students bravely marched in step and sang: “Deutschland, Deutschland Hubert Alles!'('Germany, Germany above all!").
There were plans to create a "Great Germany", "Middle Europe" led by the Germans. The future European empire was to include Germany, Austria-Hungary, the Balkans, Poland, Scandinavia, Belgium, Holland and part of France. They wanted to throw Russia back to the borders of the pre-Petrine "Muscovy", deprive it of access to the Black and Baltic Seas, take away the Baltic States, Belarus, Little Russia, Crimea and the Caucasus. In Africa, to create a huge "German Africa" at the expense of the occupied Portuguese, Belgian, French and British colonies. Include in your sphere of influence Latin America, as opposed to the United States. Through Turkey, reach the Near and Middle East, Persia, Afghanistan and India. The Kaiser declared himself the patron saint of all Muslims in the world.
During these years, aggression embraced most of the society of the German and Austro-Hungarian empires. Even the socialists supported the expansion. They argued that the German world is advanced, which means that it brings progress to the "backward" countries and peoples, the conquests will benefit humanity. And the royal Russia generally seemed to be the main brake on the path of progressive mankind. The war against her was approved by wide circles of society. Also, Orthodox Russia has traditionally been considered an enemy to both the Catholic and Protestant worlds. And even more so for all sorts of radical sects, occult, satanic movements.
Various mystical orders and lodges multiplied. The German origins were studied, the crusaders' attitudes were supported: an onslaught to the East, the conquest of "inferior" peoples. Eastern currents and Buddhism were also studied. For example, the "father" of the German school of geopolitics, Karl Haushofer, studied Japanese religious movements, was initiated into the Order of the Green Dragon. He promoted the idea of creating a Continental Union (Axis Germany - Russia - Japan). Haushofer reasonably offered the Russians and Germans to be friends against the Anglo-Saxons.
In 1912, the German Order was created - it was understood that it was the successor to the Teutonic Order. True, now the banner of Christianity, with which the crusaders went to the East, was changing to paganism. Runes, ancient Germanic gods and Nordic theory. Instead of a cross, the ancient symbol of the sun is the swastika.
Thus, Hitler did not invent anything special. Everything has already been created before him. British, French and German thinkers developed theories of the superiority of the white race, social Darwinism, the mission of the white man (Anglo-Saxons, Germans), the survival of the race and living space, "subhuman", which primarily included the Slavs, Russians. It's just that the Third Reich became the apogee of these misanthropic constructions.
Model Soldier
It was in such an environment that young Hitler brewed. He absorbed pan-Germanist, racist, geopolitical and mystical ideas and theories. He took pan-Germanism close, met the war with enthusiasm. But he himself did not want to fight for the Habsburg Empire, which was “infected” with Slavs and Jews. Therefore, he avoided service in the Austro-Hungarian army.
He moved to Munich and applied to be enrolled as a volunteer in the German army. The request was granted. In August 1914, Hitler was enrolled in the 2nd Infantry Regiment and underwent basic training there. On September 1, he was transferred to the newly formed 16th Reserve Infantry Regiment, which on October 8, 1914 swore allegiance to the King of Bavaria and was sent to the Western Front. In October - November 1914, he participated in the battle of Yser and Ypres, in December - he fought in French Flanders. November 1, 1914 Hitler received the rank of corporal. He liked the army. He earned a reputation as a model soldier, was a liaison, delivering orders and reports under fire. December 2, 1914 was awarded the Iron Cross 2nd class.
In the campaign of 1915 he fought in Belgium and Northern France, in 1916 he took part in the Battle of the Somme. Was wounded in the thigh, returned to the front in 1917. Member of a number of battles in France, Flanders and Alsace. He was awarded the Cross for Military Merit, 3rd class, in 1918 - a regimental diploma for outstanding bravery near Fontane; received a badge "For injury" (black); in August 1918 he was awarded the Iron Cross 1st class for delivering reports to artillery positions in especially difficult conditions; Bavarian Service Medal XNUMXrd class.
On the night of October 1918, Hitler and several comrades were victims of a gas attack, which led to a temporary loss of vision. In November, he was discharged from the hospital and went to Munich in the reserve battalion of the 2nd Bavarian Infantry Regiment. Hitler had an ambiguous reputation among his colleagues. On the one hand, an exemplary soldier and an impeccable comrade. On the other hand, the “white crow”: in particular, he did not visit brothels, did not drink or smoke, he preferred to read, think or draw.
