The US administration did not answer the question about the possibility of transferring fighter aircraft to Ukraine
The United States has nothing to say yet about the delivery of fighter jets to the Ukrainian army, as well as the content of future military support packages, but Washington is in constant contact with Kyiv on issues related to comprehensive assistance. This was stated by the coordinator of strategic communications of the White House National Security Council, John Kirby.
In a commentary to CNN, Kirby noted that Ukrainian President Zelensky had previously stated his desire to receive fighter jets, but the US government could not say anything definite about future military aid packages, other than constantly stating to the Ukrainian side that they would meet their needs, for which everything possible is being done.
However, earlier the US Department of Defense Deputy Spokesperson Sabrina Singh said that the Pentagon does not rule out the possibility of supplying Ukraine with American F-16 fighters.
So far, the supply of such fighters is being discussed in the Netherlands, whose authorities admit the possibility of transferring to the Kyiv regime aircraft previously decommissioned from the kingdom's air force fleet. Slovakia also informed about the possibility of sending Soviet-made aircraft to Ukraine, which are in service with the country's air force.
The official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, stressed that the words of NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg that the alliance, despite the comprehensive military support of the Kyiv regime and the supply of weapons and military equipment to the Ukrainian army, is not a party to the Ukrainian conflict and does not take a direct part in it, which caused by the lack of supplies of military aviation and sending their military personnel, a manifestation of criminal hypocrisy.
