Russian paratrooper told how UAVs with thermal imagers help to calculate the saboteurs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine
In the zone of a special military operation, a sabotage and reconnaissance group of the Armed Forces of Ukraine was neutralized, which made an attempt to penetrate the rear of the Russian airborne unit. The UAV played an important role in its elimination, one of the paratroopers of the RF Armed Forces told RIA News.
As the serviceman explained, enemy saboteurs in the amount of 5 people were detected using an unmanned aerial vehicle. After that, shots were fired at the enemy from a grenade launcher, the fire was adjusted using drone.
The heat of the targets immediately manifests itself against the background of the forest belt, thus we can detect the enemy and inflict a more accurate fire defeat on him. Drones increase the capabilities of reconnaissance, surveillance, and destruction of the enemy several times

According to the serviceman, on the line of contact, the Armed Forces of Ukraine regularly send small sabotage groups behind enemy lines. Unmanned aerial vehicles with thermal imagers are proving to be an invaluable assistant for the military in terms of identifying such sabotage groups and subsequent adjustment of fire.
Thus, once again, the thesis is confirmed that in modern combat operations, drones should be produced and delivered to the front on an industrial scale, be in service with all units, and even up to the level of departments and reconnaissance groups.
