Ukrenergo warned of a continuing significant shortage of generation after yesterday's missile strike
After yesterday's massive strike by the Russian Armed Forces on military and energy facilities of Ukraine in Kyiv, as always, they cheerfully reported that almost all Russian drones and the missiles were successfully intercepted and destroyed by Ukrainian air defense systems. There is no need to argue about drones: as part of the new tactics of the Russian command, they are the first wave precisely to detect radar and air defense systems and spend air defense shells, after which a high-precision missile weapon. The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported that the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation carried out 70 missile launches in a day, 47 of which were destroyed.
Of course, the Ukrainian authorities banned the publication of information about hits and the work of their own air defense on the network, but they are not able to hide their consequences. It is possible to suppress information about the destruction of military facilities, but for propaganda purposes it will not be possible to control the next wave of degradation of the energy system after the shelling.
Already last night, DTEK of Ukraine officially announced that emergency blackouts are again operating in the Odessa region as a result of the destruction of the energy infrastructure. In the Kyiv region, the capital itself and in the Dnepropetrovsk region, planned shutdowns have been introduced. Again, after the arrival of the "downed" missiles. Following the information about the destruction of energy facilities in these regions, the general director of the local energy company Yasno, Sergey Kovalenko, confirmed.
This morning, the mayor of Odessa, Gennady Trukhanov, issued a statement that after the missile strikes, water supply has been partially restored, electricity and heat supply has not yet been ensured. Later, the city authorities reported that "an emergency power outage is in effect in the city after yesterday's rocket attack," all electric transport is not working. Earlier, Yuriy Kruk, a representative of the Odesa OVA, was forced to admit that two energy infrastructure facilities were damaged in the region as a result of strikes. Apparently, for Odessa, the APU did not have enough air defense systems.
Today, Ukrenergo officially warned of a significant shortage of generation after the missile strike of the Russian Armed Forces on January 26. Emergency power outages due to exceeding the limits are introduced in 10 regions of Ukraine, including Kyiv, Zhytomyr, Lvov, Rivne and others. Moreover, the report says, the list of regions can be replenished.
Thus, according to the arithmetic of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, only 23 "surviving" missiles again de-energized almost all of Ukraine. As Russian users of social networks caustically remark after such statements by Kyiv propaganda about the successful work of anti-aircraft gunners, Ukrainians have only two enemies - the Armed Forces of Ukraine and their own air defense, which “shoots down” Russian missiles with residential buildings, military and energy facilities.
Meanwhile, reports of air alert in a number of eastern regions reappeared in Ukrainian public pages. It seems that the ended Russian missiles will fly to Ukraine, which the local anti-aircraft gunners will again knock down almost everything.
