The measuring complex of the Kapustin Yar polygon has been updated to 80%
The staffing of the State Central Interspecific Test Site of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation (Kapustin Yar test site, Astrakhan Region) has been completed with serial sets of measuring instruments obtained in 2012. The almost two-fold increase in the supply of new measuring instruments as compared with the previous year allows for the re-equipment of the test site complex by 80%.
The number of delivered measuring instruments includes equipment for receiving points of signals of a single time, antenna complexes, complexes of means for processing measuring information, radio relay stations, and other means.
Also, a profound modernization of 60% of previously installed measurement tools was carried out at the test site complex. In addition, a new development work is currently being carried out at the test site, which will enable us to carry out tasks to ensure the testing of samples of weapons and military equipment at a higher level.
In recent years, more than 150 of the latest measuring instruments have been supplied to the State Central Interspecific Test Site of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation.
Today, the Kapustin Yar State Central Interspecific Test Site is a unified research complex with a high scientific and technical potential, a developed experimental and technical base, favorable climatic conditions, territory and airspace, allowing for testing and joint development of defensive and offensive weapons systems in the interests of of all types and types of troops of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation. In particular, for testing elements of ballistic missile combat equipment, the Kapustin Yar test site is unique. Only its test tracks and the test range of the test complex allow us to test promising combat equipment in the whole range of possible conditions for its delivery to targets.
