Press Secretary of the President of the Russian Federation Dmitry Peskov spoke about the upcoming meeting of Chinese President Xi Jinping with his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin via video conference, which will take place tomorrow, December 30. As Peskov stressed, the conversation between the heads of both states will be held in the spirit of a true strategic partnership.
Recall that during Dmitry Medvedev's recent visit to Beijing, the Deputy Chairman of the Security Council of the Russian Federation conveyed a message from the Russian leader to the head of the Chinese state, which touched upon the strategic partnership between Russia and China, as well as the situation that is developing in the international arena. The Chinese leader assured the ex-president of the Russian government that his country is ready to move closer to Russia for the sake of more equitable global governance. Medvedev then called these negotiations useful.
It should be noted that the other day, Russian Ambassador to China Igor Morgulov pointed to the indestructible friendship between the two states, adding that the parties would continue to strive to confront "unipolar hegemony."
