A large anti-submarine ship (BPK) of project 1155 "Admiral Vinogradov" served in the Soviet Union. The ship was launched in June 1987, and in May 1989 was commissioned into the Pacific fleet THE USSR.
BOD "Admiral Vinogradov" spent a lot of time in sea voyages and took part in many combat and training operations.
In 2021, the ship was sent for repair and modernization to Vladivostok.
As transmits TASS, citing sources in the military-industrial complex, "Admiral Vinogradov" will return to service as a frigate with increased strike capabilities. The return of the ship to the fleet is planned for 2024-2025.
Sources of the publication also said that the Admiral Vinogradov will be equipped with Caliber-NK cruise missiles and, probably, Zircon hypersonic missiles.
It is also planned to equip the vessel with Onyx supersonic anti-ship missiles and Uran subsonic small-sized missiles.
Before the repair and modernization, Admiral Vinogradov was armed with Rastrub torpedo missiles, Kinzhal air defense systems, 53-65K and SET-65 torpedoes, and more.
It is also reported that the modernization of the Project 1155 (M) BOD into frigates will continue. And there are five more ships in line. Recall that the frigate Marshal Shaposhnikov has already gone through this process.
