The first photos of the S-125 "Newa SC" air defense systems transferred by Poland to Ukraine appeared on Ukrainian Internet resources

Poland handed over to Ukraine modernized Soviet anti-aircraft missile systems S-124 "Newa SC" (Cyfrowy System - digital system) on the chassis tank T-55. The first photos of these air defense systems have already appeared on Ukrainian Internet resources.

The Armed Forces of Ukraine received an unnamed number of S-125 "Newa SC" air defense systems from the presence of the Polish army. The transfer of the complexes was also confirmed in the Polish government, said the former head of the office of the Cabinet of Ministers of the country, Michal Dvorczyk. However, he did not name either the number of transferred complexes or the timing of their delivery.

Judging by the photo, the air defense systems entered service with the Armed Forces of Ukraine at the end of summer or at the beginning of autumn, when the grass was still green. Since information about these complexes has appeared only now, it can be assumed that they are located somewhere very far from the front, most likely in the territory of the western regions of Ukraine.

S-125 "Newa SC" (Cyfrowy System - digital system) - the Polish version of the Soviet anti-aircraft system S-125 "Neva-M", mounted on the chassis of the Soviet T-55 tank. Poland received air defense systems and tanks from the Soviet Union during entry The complex, created in the 60s of the last century to combat low-altitude air targets, was modernized twice. almost all the equipment was replaced with more modern ones in 1992, which made it possible to increase the ability of the complex to detect targets. But the missiles remained the same, so that the range of destruction remained the same: in height - 55, in range - 543 km.

The complex is designed to engage air targets at low and medium altitudes in any weather on a collision course and in pursuit. Poland has repeatedly tried to export the upgraded air defense system, but to no avail. Probably, Ukraine became the first foreign operator of the modernized S-125 "Newa SC" air defense system.

Interestingly, the air defense systems of the Armed Forces of Ukraine are in plus or minus. Especially at the forefront.

I would be afraid to give a slingshot to the Armed Forces of Ukraine. It is not known who they can fill up with this air defense system. Again, it is not known - on purpose or by accident, from curvature.
When "Chimeras" fall on the Donbass, it is clear that the Americans are choosing targets. And with the S-125, the Armed Forces of Ukraine will be able to cope on their own, therefore it is not known what they are "managing".

The other day they shot down the Ka52 and Su24 of the Wagner air wing. Their air defense is working. The helicopter was shot down from the Buk, I don’t know the bomber. It was all in the VO cart

Yes, they crashed, having been bombed near Kleshcheevka. Retired Air Force Major General Kanamat Botashev recruited this crew, the most experienced pilots. All eternal memory. When this SVO ends, I think it would be nice to erect a monument to our pilots there.

Where are our planes that should suppress all enemy air defenses, at least on the first front line? or do we not have anti-radar missiles? or no DLRO aircraft? Or do generals have no brains?

Due to poor intelligence (insufficient number of modern UAVs, electronic warfare, REM, lack of AWACS, leading remote radar sensing satellites, constant monitoring of the combat zone and rear, transmitting all information online to weapons of destruction), the enemy can freely move his mobile air defense systems with radars turned off, to ambush our aviation flight routes and activate the radar at the last moment, after receiving data via high-speed secure Internet from NATO satellites, AWACS and UAVs.

              What NATO DLRO near Donetsk?
Aviation must itself extinguish all enemy air defenses. To do this, the Su-25 or Su-30 should always cover a pair of Su-35s with anti-radar missiles. Or is it that hard? About electronic warfare, it is not entirely clear what it can do against air defense. Sometimes it seems to me that in the highest echelons of the military authorities they do not understand at all what teamwork is.

100 meters for a helicopter in a war zone for a helicopter, that's suicide.
Yes, I watched that video. Just horrified. It's just a 100% set up for defeat.
And most importantly, why is this? Somehow the thought of wanting to commit suicide still disappears. What then?

It’s just that after Vietnam it became clear that even in the country’s air defense forces, the complex had nothing to do with a 45-minute curtailment time. Another question is that with the abandonment of the S-125 and before the appearance of the "Shell", low altitudes lost their cover - only the army remained with the DB air defense systems for working on MV and WWII. sad

Ukrainians are able to upgrade the S-125 to the S-125-2D1 variant, and the missiles to the 5V27D-M1 and -M2 variants (semi-active and active seeker). In terms of range and height, the complex almost approached the Buk: 40 km in range and 25 km in height.

Perhaps they were "gifted" with an eye to the fact that the United States or Germany would somehow compensate. Such a "multi-way offset". And if such a "multi-move" takes place, then this money has already been deducted from the American budget allocated for Ukraine. Then they will go as a discount to Germany or France, which will fuse their old on the cheap in Poland. Eventually - everybody died all gesheft.

Yes, in fact, I do not claim the reliability of my scheme - I do not huckster financier, for me it's all too complicated. I would like to build something at work or do it with my own hands at home in the workshop, but trade is not mine.
I heard from those who are in trade the expression "sell three times" - when goods A are sold not for money, but for goods B at a good discount, then goods B are exchanged for goods C at the same discount, etc. In the end, the profit from the sale of product A grows cosmically. I am sure that the Americans are fluent in this technique.

Saturation of enemy air defense is in full swing. As a result, alas, we had to forget about air supremacy, and these are bombers, and the ability to transport hundreds of tons of explosives to the head of the enemy. Rockets can't do it. Yes, and the effectiveness of missile attacks can be analyzed by the rate of return to operation of critical infrastructure. Therefore, the news is formed bad

The longer we take "unpopular" decisions, the Banderlogs will have more and more modern weapons. About 15 years ago, Poland upgraded some of the available S-125M1A Neva-M1 air defense systems to the Newa-SC level. At the same time, most of the electronics was transferred from electrovacuum devices to a solid-state element base. Thanks to the use of digital technologies and new algorithms of work, it was possible to improve noise immunity and increase the speed of information processing. The control cabin and antenna post were installed on the MAZ-543 wheeled chassis, which was previously used for OTP R-17 launchers.
Launchers 5P73 with four anti-aircraft missiles were transferred to the tracked chassis of the armored recovery vehicle WZT-1, which has much in common with the base of the T-55 tank. At the same time, solid fuel was replaced in the 5V27 SAM and the main elements were prevented.
Currently, the 3rd Warsaw Anti-Aircraft Missile Brigade is armed with 17 Newa-SC air defense systems. These complexes were planned to be operated until 2026, after which they would be replaced by new British-Polish Narew air defense systems. However, in the light of recent events, the leadership of the command of the Polish Army decided to intensify the supply of Narew air defense systems, and the Newa-SC to be decommissioned can be donated to Ukraine.
