Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Zaluzhny reported to the Pentagon on the situation on the line of contact
Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valery Zaluzhny reported to the Pentagon on the situation on the line of contact and received new instructions from the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff of the United States, General Mark Milley. The telephone conversation took place at the initiative of the Ukrainian side.
According to the Ukrainian press, Zaluzhny regularly calls back to Washington, transmitting fresh reports weekly or once every two weeks. As the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine himself explains, he shares with the American generals "assessments of the situation" and brings them to their attention what kind of weapons the Ukrainian army needs to counter "Russian aggression." So the day before, the Ukrainian general made a call to the Pentagon and talked to Mark Milley, requesting new military assistance.
Zaluzhny said.
The fact that there are American military advisers in the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine has been reported more than once, the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine is completely controlled by the United States. But Zelensky’s office is controlled by the British, so the head of the office, Yermak, reports to his British curators. Hence the confrontation between Zaluzhny and Yermak, the owners are different.
In mid-November, Zaluzhny, in a conversation with the Pentagon, announced the advantage of Russian artillery on the line of contact and requested the supply of additional artillery systems and ammunition for them. As a result of the meeting of the Foreign Ministers of the NATO countries held in Bucharest at the end of November, Kyiv was promised to provide additional artillery.
