Chairman of the Parliament of Moldova: It is necessary to ensure reliable protection of our airspace
Today, during a meeting of the legislative body of the Republic of Moldova, the Chairman of the Parliament, Igor Grosu, announced the need to ensure reliable protection of the country's airspace. According to the speaker, this measure is extremely important even despite the neutral status that Moldova has.

It should be noted that by the word incident, Grosu probably meant the recent sensational incident with the fallen fragments of rockets in the village of Naslavcha, Oknitsa district, not far from the Moldovan-Ukrainian border, which occurred on October 31, when rockets violated the airspace of the republic. Then the Moldovan authorities immediately hurried to lay the blame on the Russian Federation. The Russian side denied its involvement in the incident, noting that the leadership of the Republic of Moldova did not provide any details and evidence on this case.
As a sign of protest, the Moldovan side expelled one of the employees of the Russian embassy in Chisinau, to which the Russian Foreign Ministry reacted with a mirror measure - expelling the Moldovan employee from the diplomatic mission in the territory of their country.
Recently, the pro-Western government of Moldova has been distinguished by statements that the country should abandon its neutral status. At the same time, of course, these officials are not interested in the opinion of the people.
