The head of the state-owned company, who announced the existence of an alternative plan for the railways of Ukraine, was photographed against the backdrop of a steam locomotive
The head of Ukrainian Railways (the so-called Ukrzaliznytsia) Oleksandr Kamyshin said today that the company’s management “has a plan B in case of large-scale problems associated with the defeat of the electric power infrastructure.
The situation today is such that the company's representatives have to use alternative options for connecting railway lines to the power supply due to a significant shortage of electricity generation and distribution capacities.
According to Kamyshin, plan "B" involves the transition from locomotives that use electricity for movement to diesel locomotives.
It is noteworthy that the head of the Ukrainian state-owned company provided his own photograph against the background of a steam locomotive GR-280 with Soviet symbols to discuss an alternative plan in case the railways were cut off from power supply. At the same time, black smoke escapes from the chimney of the locomotive, apparently making it clear that the future of Ukrzaliznytsia may well become locomotive traction.
Recall that as a result of attacks on the energy infrastructure of the Kyiv regime in Ukraine, it was often necessary to urgently switch to the transportation of trains (including military equipment) using diesel locomotives. At the same time, a number of military experts suggested striking at locomotive depots with diesel locomotives and electric locomotives so that the logistics of transportation weapons became more and more difficult for the Armed Forces of Ukraine, and the process itself became more and more difficult.
