Governors against the generals of the Ministry of Defense

Many were excited, and many were outraged by the letter of the Far Eastern Marines ... to their governor. There were those who removed numbers and surnames from the letter (just in case), there were those who published it as it is.
We will give the letters "as is", because some things require analysis and understanding in order to draw the right conclusions.
The command of the district, together with Akhmedov, hide this and underestimate the official figures of losses, fearing responsibility. How they were going to capture the settlement, slipping through the landings, in which the enemy remained, now destroying ours on the routes of evacuation of the wounded and the supply of ammunition. In addition, Pavlovka is lower than Ugledar, from which they hit us. Oleg Nikolaevich, Primorye people! How long will such mediocrity as Muradov and Akhmedov plan military operations for the sake of their reports and receive awards at the cost of the lives of so many people.
They don't care about anything, just to show themselves. They call people meat. We ask you to turn to the Supreme to send a commission not from the Ministry of Defense, where Muradov is protected by Gerasimov, but an independent one. Let them be asked the purpose of such actions, their provision and the results without embellishment. How much can you endure!”
The information contained in the letter will definitely be dealt with by the relevant authorities, the Primorye Governor Kozhemyako promised to move. We will not discuss the numbers, we will not discuss the “rollups” against the generals simply because the numbers need to be dealt with on the spot, and there are also quite a few questions regarding Generals Akhmedov and Muradov.
There is almost no information on Akhmedov, but enough on Muradov to draw certain conclusions. The track record is decent. And, since such a situation has gone, it is worth first of all to check the source of information regarding the "conspiracy" of generals Muradov and Akhmedov. Agree, it is doubtful that they talked on the parade ground in front of the formation? Then it is quite possible to apply the relevant articles of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation to the author of the information quite naturally.
In general, there are many questions to the Marines' letter. But let them be asked by those whose level allows them to be asked as part of official investigations. Moreover, information has already passed that the losses were somewhat overestimated. This was again said by Kozhemyako, who, oddly enough, has more faith than the "officials" of the Ministry of Defense.
Almost for the first time, military personnel who wanted to achieve justice turned not to higher authorities, but to the governor
It is quite possible that a very peculiar such precedent is being born before our eyes, from which there may be quite positive consequences.
On the one hand, what is a governor? This is the highest official of the executive branch of the subject of the Russian Federation. That is, a specific person who works in the interests of the citizens of a particular region.
As practice has shown, if there is an intelligent governor in the region, then even mobilization can take place without the idiocy inherent in the work of military registration and enlistment offices. Yes, it's a little strange, but the military registration and enlistment office, which belongs to the Ministry of Defense, is still located on the territory of a particular region and works with citizens of this region.
You know, a comparison with the landowners of that past Russia came to mind. Tyrants or not, but they were obliged to manage the economy properly, otherwise they were threatened with ruin.
Approximately in the same way, some governors, on the wave of indignation and unrest that began, quickly realized that it makes sense to take the coordination of the same mobilization into their own hands and at least try to smooth out the consequences of the poorly organized work of the military registration and enlistment offices.
It makes sense to note that some governors frankly succeeded in this. And for the residents of Udmurtia, Buryatia, the Kursk region (where the governor Starovoit really rushed about like a madman), the Tyumen and Tula regions and the Krasnodar Territory. In the last two governors really did not let the military commissars relax, and in general in these regions a lot of attention was paid to the mobilized. In the Belgorod region, there are also a minimum of complaints against the governor, although what the Belgorod military commissar did - in principle, at the level of Primorye and Magadan colleagues.

But so that our Ministry of Defense defended Kherson in such a way as it stood up like a mountain for the crooked military commissars.
In any case, the citizens have a new beacon - this is the governor. To whom, as it turned out, you can turn for help and get it. This is a big plus that the governors began to descend from the height of their political Olympus on a regional scale to the citizens of their regions.
In modern life it is not as easy as it seems.
It's just wonderful that the governors were able to appreciate their role in the lives of the citizens of the regions at such a time.
Of course, the fact that the Primorye fighters showed complete disbelief in their superiors speaks volumes. But, on the other hand, who today believes the information coming from the Ministry of Defense?
Another question is that here there was distrust of the command and the brigade-divisional level, but this is a completely different alignment, which indicates that everything is somewhat worse than we would like.
As a result, the governor went into battle for his citizens, clarified the situation, I think that the investigation will put everything in its place.
Yes, it happened in two ways. But do not forget what mobilized citizens can easily face in their military life. From neglect to outright humiliation.
Therefore, these people simply need to be respected. At least for the fact that they will take Bakhmut, and not Upper Lars. Live (unlike the bulk of the generals) in the frozen dugouts of the South-East of the former Ukraine and fight.
That's who should be respected, and not our arrogant generals, who think only about how to quickly and painlessly hang another devalued trinket on their chests. Paid for with the blood of the mobilized.
In this regard, the governor, who has the right to apply directly to the President as a representative of a subject of the Federation, is somewhat more profitable than the army authorities, who may not yet go upstairs. Nobody canceled the instinct of self-preservation, especially in the modern Russian army. And as members of the Federation Council, the governors are also very significant people.
The only question is how much this is generally necessary for the governors themselves. But - it turned out that it was necessary. Who for what reasons, but the fact that the Kursk governor Roman Starovoit and his Belgorod counterpart Vyacheslav Gladkov are in the same trenches and ruins with their voters is an undeniable fact and does not require proof. And in such conditions, the governors quickly realized that the support of the population is not based on rallies and other noisy events, much more political points can be earned by simply supporting the inhabitants of their regions. That is, the normal performance of their duties.

Of course, “setting up” the work of military registration and enlistment offices, checking and arranging the life of those mobilized at temporary deployment points and training centers, re-equipping - this, as it were, was definitely not the responsibility of the governors, but here’s the thing - many managed, and coped more than adequately.
But the enemy did not sleep either
And already had to face opposition from the enemy. As recently as November 6, a group of my countrymen, several dozen in number, came to the governor, having fallen for a fake message on the Web that the “battalion of those mobilized from Voronezh” had been defeated by the valiant Armed Forces of Ukraine, literally a tenth of 300 people remained and other horrors.
Governor Gusev promised to do everything possible to find out how things were going, but everything stalled at the moment of the "Voronezh battalion". There was no such formation and could not be, since the formations were company formations and were sent as they were trained in the unit in the same way, by companies. There was no battalion formation. And when it became known that people with such surnames as “informants”, who were referred to by channels screaming for help, were not called up from Voronezh, everything fell into place.
Is it possible to put forward claims here against the residents of Voronezh, who rushed to the governor for the truth on the weekend? No. One can only applaud Gusev (which I have never done, I confess), who rushed to work and began to do everything possible to calm people down.
It is necessary to dig in a completely different direction. The topic of the press service of the Ministry of Defense comes up again. They don’t answer, they don’t tell, and everything is fine with them.
From here, people go to the "cart" and there ... And there the guys from the CIPSO are already waiting for them, who, I must say, work just fine. I would very much like to say this about the Ministry of Defense, but ... Yes, they recently accomplished a feat there: 8 months after the start of the war, they nevertheless decided to create an official telegram channel. Indeed, a feat. That's just zero sense from him, because there Konashenkov will still tell us fairy tales about "about 40 destroyed mercenaries from Poland."
Information mockery of people has been going on for more than eight months. What else do you expect gentlemen? I would even find it difficult to predict how many people in the country watch the program “Visiting a fairy tale” from Igor Evgenievich, but I see that it is no longer possible to meet it in telegram channels as often as before.
The people appreciated the honesty and openness of the Ministry of Defense, and therefore chose for themselves a new way of solving problems. Governors.
There is something about it… The governor is his own, local. And the Ministry of Defense is in Moscow, and it is somewhat expensive to look for the truth there. Yes, and you will find it - it will be something like “an official statement on a letter from the Marines” from the Ministry of Defense:
Due to the competent actions of the commanders of the units, the losses of the Marines over this period do not exceed 1% of the combat strength and 7% of the wounded, a significant part of which have already returned to duty.
At the same time, enemy losses along the line of combat contact of the brigade average 7 to 1, and in some areas 9 to 1 in people and equipment.
At the same time, according to all textbooks on military affairs, the usual ratio of losses during offensive operations, advancing to defenders, is 3 to 1. But in the reports of our generals, everything looks like this ...
Meanwhile, the Ukrainian telegram channels are full, and ours are starting to fill up with videos from copters showing the destruction of equipment (and not only equipment) of the Russian army in the Pavlovka area. And after watching, somehow you yourself understand that 1% there doesn’t just smell, it smells like another spreading noodles performed by our Ministry of Defense.
Well, what to do, if only gentlemen generals have mastered lies and parades ... There is nothing to do. It remains to rely only on the governors. No one will bring more truth, this is obvious.
But you know, there is a rational grain in this. Every soldier is not only a soldier, but also a citizen. Replacing a passport with a military ID does not make him a gladiator, it does not deprive him of his citizenship. The fact that our eternally lying generals can find a short cut in the face of the governors - this can and should be welcomed. And look more closely at who you are going to vote for, asking yourself the question, will this governor fly / go to the other side of the earth, as Kozhemyako did, to look at how and under what conditions his citizens are fighting? Or how will my Gusev (governor of the Voronezh region) hang out with the generals and not even come out to the mobilized?
The governor, it turns out, is a very important part of our lives, especially when it gets hot. It’s a pity, only that we have hundreds of generals, and only 87 governors.
