The Ministry of Defense of the Netherlands did not answer the question of where the 45 T-72 tanks came from in the country for the declared transfer to Ukraine
It became known about the statement of the official representative of the Dutch Ministry of Defense about the "new package" of military aid to Ukraine being prepared for sending. The statement draws attention to what kind of weapons will be included in the package of military assistance to the Kyiv regime.
It is reported that, among other things, military assistance from the Netherlands involves the transfer of 45 tanks T-72, which were produced in the Soviet Union. Moreover, it is indicated that we are talking about tanks that have undergone modernization.
Until now, there has been no information that the Netherlands has T-72 tanks in service. In this regard, the question arose: from whose arsenals is the Dutch Ministry of Defense going to transfer these tanks to Ukraine? This question was asked to the representative of the Ministry of Defense of the kingdom by journalists. No response was received.
There are suggestions that these may be tanks that were previously delivered by the USSR to one (or several) countries of Eastern Europe. The Netherlands could have received these tanks for modernization with a view to further sale to third countries, and now the government has decided to transfer the T-72 to the Kyiv regime.
It is known that other weapons will also be included in the military aid package. Which one is not known at the moment. However, it is known that the total cost weapons for Ukraine in this package will be about 120 million euros.
The Netherlands has already handed over to Ukraine several "packages" of military assistance worth more than half a billion euros. Apparently, the government of the Netherlands is not going to stop the supply of weapons and military equipment for the needs of the Kyiv regime.
