According to the report of the Khrunichev State Research and Production Space Center on October 23, 2012, the Federal State Unitary Enterprise “Research Center of Rocket and Space Technologies” (Remmash) successfully completed the test tests for cryostatic strength of the structural elements of the promising missiles- the Angara launch vehicle (product A5A2S - assembly No. A13) manufactured by the Khrunichev State Research Center of Space Technologies.

The final tests of the design elements of the Angara launch vehicle have been completed

Tests of elements of the Angara launch vehicle at the stand (c) of the FKP SIC RCP

The purpose of the test assembly № А13 was to confirm the strength of the accelerator compartments of the III stage of the PH, as well as individual components of the Angara 3A and 5A PH under the influence of loads at all stages - from transporting the launch vehicle to the maximum aerodynamic pressures and separation of steps in flight.

A total of 19 design cases were tested, including at cryogenic temperatures. The maximum loads when determining the axial rigidity were up to 270 tf, when determining the bending rigidity - up to 220 tcm, when loading the tank "O" with the design pressure - up to 7.2 atm. Control over deformations and stresses in the structure of assembly No. A13 was carried out by the method of multichannel strain gaging.
Tests are performed in full in accordance with the technical specifications. External examination confirmed that the assembly number A13 passed the test successfully. The final results will be determined after processing the measurement results obtained during the tests.

The main thing is that Angara becomes a worthy successor, and not just a project for money laundering.

I can’t even believe that this whopper can take off without acceleration .... and this is only the third step, what is the power of the engine for this miracle?

In Plesetsk, work has begun on the preparation of the assembly and test building for the promising "Angara-A5" launch vehicle. As reported at the cosmodrome, "the military and the Khrunichev State Research and Production Space Center have agreed on a timetable for the creation of the ground infrastructure of the rocket and space complex (RSC)," reports ARMS-TASS.
The document provides that in the period from April 2004 to January 2005, construction and installation work will be carried out in the assembly and testing building (MIC) for a new rocket. Technological equipment, as well as a cargo model of the carrier, will be delivered and mounted at the spaceport. Complex tests of the new technical complex are scheduled for July - August 2005.
The first type is a launch vehicle with a carrying capacity of up to 2 tons, designed to launch small satellites into space. Rockets of the second modification will be capable of putting twice as large payload into orbit. The third type of rockets with a carrying capacity of more than 20 tons is being prepared to replace the heavy Proton launch vehicles. As the General Director of the Khrunichev State Research and Production Center Alexander Medvedev said earlier, The first launch of the Angara LV from the Plesetsk cosmodrome is scheduled for 2005.

The project of the millennium, the Fata Morgan of the Russian cosmonautics ... How many times the deadlines were postponed and how many different versions were voiced over the past 10 years is incomprehensible to the mind. We may not see her, but our children, I hope, will be honored.
