Voenkor: We are waiting for the first large-scale confrontation between Russian missile weapons and NATO air defense systems
The missile strikes of the Russian Armed Forces on the critical infrastructure of Ukraine were the result of the criminal actions of the Kyiv regime, military commander Yevgeny Poddubny said during the War program.
According to him, the first massive strike on Ukrainian power plants on October 10 was supposed to be a kind of “sobering factor” for Kyiv after the terrorist attack on the Crimean bridge and regular shelling of Russian territory.
In fact, almost 30% of the energy system of our “western neighbor” was disabled on the very first day. Rolling blackouts began in major cities.
As Poddubny put it, the nights are already cold, and winter is ahead. The Kyiv regime must understand that Russia has the ability to completely destroy the Ukrainian energy system if terrorist attacks continue on our territory. Obviously, the enemy's air defense will not be able to fully resist Russian missile attacks.
At the same time, the Armed Forces of Ukraine continue to attack the peaceful cities of Russia and try to organize another counteroffensive on the fronts. In addition, Ukrainian troops began to use Western-supplied anti-radar missiles to weaken our air defense already.
However, according to Poddubny, all the above-mentioned attempts by Kyiv will only lead to new massive strikes on critical infrastructure. However, it is rather difficult to accurately predict the further development of events due to one important factor.
The military commissar stressed that the West is hastily trying to organize a layered air defense on the territory of Ukraine. Therefore, as he put it, the first large-scale confrontation between Russian missile weapons and NATO air defense systems lies ahead of us. For example, today German Chancellor Scholz promised the Kyiv regime to accelerate the delivery of three IRIS-T air defense systems from a package whose first air defense system had already tried to shoot down Russian missiles over the Kyiv region.
