Technique for applying a tourniquet for wounds in the leg

Partial mobilization in a number of regions is coming to an end. Today, October 17, the authorities of Moscow announced the full implementation of the plan and the cessation of work of collection points. Within two weeks, the conscription should be completed in other regions of our country, at least this is what the president said last week.

To date, thousands of mobilized reservists are being trained at the training grounds. At the same time, the task of instructors is not only to restore the knowledge of recruits who previously completed military service in handling weapons. The most important point is the development of first aid, including to oneself, in case of injury.

In a video published by the Russian Varyag Z channel, a military instructor clearly explains and shows how to apply a tourniquet when wounded in the leg.

What is important, the fighter clearly demonstrates how to carry out these manipulations in combat conditions, when the soldier is fully equipped (body armor, unloading, etc.) and does not always have the opportunity to take a comfortable position.

First aid is an essential skill in a military conflict. After all, timely stopped bleeding and other correctly performed manipulations will ultimately save the fighter's life.

I totally agree! My daughter studied well, the only subject that was left without attention was life safety. When I noticed, I told her that this is the only subject, the knowledge of which can someday save your life or your neighbor. I had to control this one item.

In my opinion, the best video about first aid to a wounded comrade.

It is much more useful to watch this video than to watch the "experienced fighter" in the video in the article.

That's just a regular tool in an army first-aid kit is a rubber band as in the article, and not a turnstile as in the commentary. And the speech in the article is about self-help in the red zone, under fire, and in the commentary already in the yellow and another fighter.
So the video in the article is no worse, it's about something else ...

So it is necessary to have a tourniquet, and not a tourniquet, which cannot be tightened with a real injury, this teacher succeeded the third time.

This is a STANDARD tool! And of course, you need to have how you need to have a collimator for each machine gun, and KAZ for each tank and in general ..
Did you pay attention to the rest? About self-help there, lying position?

Yes, I drew attention to the high leg, I can’t imagine that when injured, you can keep your leg in the weight.

The instructor practically did not take his foot off the ground, what do you see?

You should at least once try to impose a turnstile. Well, of course they bite. Apply the tourniquet faster, the tourniquet can be controlled by loosening it gradually. The point is that after the injury, they quickly burn, in the yellow zone we change it for a tourniquet. I have two tourniquets and two turnstiles. And I'll tell you a secret. No videos will replace training with an instructor. I applied the tourniquet lower and weaker than necessary. Only an instructor can control such things. In our group, everyone mowed.

It is useless to argue with sofa analysts) They go to the real world only for bread, not for long. In principle, they are incapable of understanding the value of real briefing, which takes into account the standard ammunition and the real state of affairs on the battlefield. Hollywood video gurus "survival", as well as American super snipers, European mega-mercenaries and other carriers of awesome secret knowledge, make couch warriors demigods. Alas. Soon reality will align their brilliant insights. Well, those who survive.

                    Apply the tourniquet faster

The turnstile is superimposed very quickly, it is easier to make coils than to “wind” Esmarch, about knots (if there are no fasteners on the tourniquet) and there is nothing to say. Yes, and it is fixed more reliably. In addition, according to my impressions, it is easier to apply the turnstile on your own, especially on the arm.
However, this may be an individual experience.

The turnstile is very difficult to unwind quickly. Due to its specificity, it clings to everything in a row. With one hand (the other is wounded and wildly sore), these manipulations are not very convenient to do. A tourniquet, one end in the teeth, the other you wind. According to the timings, they always burn faster, and now “wounds” are mandatory in shooting training. Leg-arm, tourniquet-turnstile.

On Esmarch, they fly out at once, and many generally pick them out right away for compactness.
In general, as for me, if to myself, it is much easier to make a turnstile from a plastic trouser belt. And the probability of pinching the nerve is less, and in general it is easier to apply.

thanks for showing, I would like such videos to be shown in simple educational institutions, and training would not hurt. Children quickly grasp this

It is important not to lose heart, not to panic. It seems to be easy, but suddenly the panicked soldier is helpless. Trust me, this demo is really important. As a cadet of a military school, I went through these training camps and was always afraid that I would screw up something, make a mistake. am

I reviewed dozens of videos where UAVs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine injure soldiers of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation. There are legs and feet. This is och. it's important to know how to do it. Apply a tourniquet to the legs. But you also need to be on time.
