Invisible ships of the Caspian flotilla took to sea

Small artillery The Caspian Flotilla ships Astrakhan and Volgodonsk left Astrakhan for the Caspian Sea to jointly practice combat training missions.
For Volgodonsk, this will be the first, after passing state tests, an exit to the sea with shooting.
For 10 days, the crews of the “invisible ships” will have to perform a whole range of special tasks, including artillery firing at sea, coastal and air targets, performing and practicing navigation skills in various weather conditions and in various formations.
Thanks to their low draft (maximum 2 m) and high maneuverability, small artillery ships Astrakhan and Volgodonsk are able to solve a wide range of tasks in the coastal zone of the Caspian Sea, on the river and in the estuary, as well as in other narrow water areas.
The ships are equipped with powerful artillery weapons: the nasal 100-mm universal A-190 artillery unit, two 30-mm six-barrel AK-306 assault rifles and the aft 40-barrel 122-mm salvo fire system "Grad-M". Thus, they are capable of delivering powerful fire strikes against enemy ships and the coastal zone to clear the springboard during the landing of the naval landing.
The architectural appearance of the ships meets the requirements for reducing radar visibility, the so-called "stealth technology" (inclined flat surface of the superstructure, the presence of bulwarks, hidden doors and hatches in the superstructure and deck).
