“Sport must remain out of politics”: the International Boxing Association allowed athletes from Russia and Belarus to compete

Russian and Belarusian boxers will again be able to compete in international tournaments. This decision was made the day before by the leadership of the IBA.

Recall that at the beginning of this year, the International Boxing Association suspended not only our athletes, but also other officials belonging to Russian boxing federations, including judges, from competitions. Similar measures were taken in relation to representatives from Belarus.

The AIBA Board of Directors has now voted to remove the aforementioned restrictions. The organization's website states that this decision takes effect immediately.

Official representatives of the International Boxing Association justified the change in their position by saying that sport should be separated from politics. Therefore, all participants in tournaments, regardless of their nationality, must be given equal conditions.

It is worth noting that the ratio begins to "take over" not only in boxing associations. Earlier, on September 30, IOC President Thomas Bach also called for the admission of athletes with Russian citizenship to international competitions.

According to him, it was not the athletes who started the NWO in Ukraine. True, the head of the IOC made it clear that athletes should distance themselves from the policy of their state in order to give them the opportunity to compete in tournaments.

There is an additional "trick" in Bach's proposal. He believes that Russian athletes should compete under a neutral flag.

In turn, the head of the Russian Olympic Committee, Stanislav Pozdnyakov, is sure that reason and justice will triumph in the near future. In his opinion, the Russian Olympians will soon again be able to take their well-deserved place in the international Games.

in Bach's sentence and an additional "trick". He believes that Russian athletes should compete under a neutral flag.

Bach as a hardened pro-American political leader in international sports, as he was a hardened cynical political pro-American "Ba-Bach" will remain so until he is removed from his post or carried out the door with his feet forward!

There is no faith in Bahu! In fact, he is the same liberal Nazi as all Anglo-Saxons!

So another hello to Bahu from Washington!

The presentation of the material in the article is incorrect, Bach allows Russian athletes to compete, only those who sign a paper condemning the actions of the Russian leadership. And it’s easy with boxing, they have a fight with the Olympic Committee. OK wants to completely privatize the qualifying tournaments for the Olympics and boxing at the Olympics. And srach in boxing itself. Boxing is headed by a Russian, and a Dutchman, through the court, seeks re-election.

Quite right, permission was allowed, but then visas were not given. Everything is simple.

Is it possible to send only those who at least urgently served to competitions? And those who are unfit for health, let them be treated at home ...

So, why only men? If a woman has not served military service, let her not go either.

That's just in Tokyo at the Olympics, I did not see the Russian flag.
Of course, I immediately understood - "sport is out of politics."

        Sports are money.
Maybe it was just the money that they decided to return the Russian and Belarusian boxers.
And the fact that sport is out of politics? So this is at what angle (or from which tower) to look.

What is political in sports? People went to compete with each other. Everything. What's the other policy here? Actually, therefore, it is not clear to me why public funds should be spent on sports (in this context, professional sports should be separated from mass physical education). If you want to go and compete for the title of Olympic champion, sign contracts with someone rich or save yourself and go. What is the interest of the whole country in this? Similarly, the meaning of placing football, hockey, and so on is unclear. commands.
And if you want to explore the limits of the human body, you don’t have to spend money on stadiums, teams, uniforms and coaches, but on laboratories, testing grounds, coats and scientists.

Sports and politics in the west go side by side. And the same IOC is under the control of the US State Department.

In the West, there is much less integration of sports and politics; first of all, they have a developed prof. sports as a separate commercial industry, which is self-sustaining and independent of the state, we have a bunch of prof. athletes are sponsored from the budget of the state or state. companies (football, hockey, etc.).

here, too, the participation of the state is incomparably lower than ours. In Russia, this smoothly migrated from the USSR, where the athletes seemed to be amateurs and were registered in factories / armies, but in fact they were prof. athletes supported by the state.

Pozdnyakov is sure, but personally I am not at all. The principle of "Sport is out of politics" has long sunk into oblivion, and already smacks of some kind of naivety. All the same, at an opportunity, they will set up the bandwagon if they want.

      International Boxing Association...
Did you decide to act out of a sense of sports duty, which is "out of politics" (oh, is it?) Or did the entertainment of the competitions fall? There is no desire to even talk about Bach and the IOC - politically engaged women of easy virtue (for some reason, the auto-moderator does not miss the literary word) from sports.
