The representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry Zakharova mocked over the 31 trillion US public debt

The US public debt has exceeded $31 trillion. The official representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, Maria Zakharova, spoke ironically on this topic.

As the diplomat noted in her Telegram channel, such a high US public debt is "a real indicator of" exclusivity ". If the United States has exclusivity, then it is precisely in the amount of public debt ...

The fact that the US public debt amounted to more than 31 trillion dollars, it became known a day earlier. Basically, the debt consists of US obligations to private individuals. They owe more than $24 trillion. The remaining seven trillion dollars come from US debt obligations to other countries.

The more the US borrows, the higher the cost of servicing the public debt. In fact, America has long been living on credit. But the US leadership prefers not to solve domestic economic problems, but to focus on ensuring geopolitical dominance.

Note that back in December 2021, US President Joe Biden ordered to increase the country's public debt limit by $2,5 trillion. Thus, the US public debt crossed the mark of 31 trillion dollars. The increase in public debt of the country's authorities was associated with the consequences of the coronavirus pandemic, which had an extremely negative impact on the American economy.

The US government finances the cost of unemployment benefits with the public debt. This is an impressive amount of $5 trillion. Such high welfare costs are explained by the fact that the recession of the country's economy has led to a decrease in the number of jobs. This amount also includes support for small businesses.

Due to the economic crisis, the number of jobs in the United States began to decline. Naturally, the country's authorities have certain concerns about maintaining political and social stability. After all, a large number of unemployed people testifies to the ineffectiveness of the political and economic course chosen by the United States. But the printing press continues to work around the clock.

The US authorities should think about the prospects of their own economy and focus on solving the problems of their population, and not start global geopolitical intrigues like fomenting the Ukrainian conflict or provocations around Taiwan.

But, probably, the White House just wants to switch the attention of the country's population from internal problems to external ones. At the same time, the issue of jobs is being resolved through the conflict in Ukraine. Of course, this is only a partial solution, but the growth in military purchases inevitably entails an increase in production, and hence the need for new jobs.

A pathetic, miserable parody of the Foreign Office

You're not right. A miserable, wretched parody of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs - these are the Foreign Ministries of the EU countries and the Foreign Ministry of the States (State Department). This is a really pathetic parody. Diplomacy is not even there. They don't even understand diplomatic language and diplomatic principles.
And our Ministry of Foreign Affairs is precisely the classic Foreign Ministry, of the old school and an example of excellent diplomacy, begun by Griboedov and Gorchakov - and continued by Chicherin and Kollontai.
It's just that in today's reality, classical diplomacy is a deliberately failed strategy. To be on an equal footing with cattle - you must be cattle yourself. Otherwise, he will always think that you are weak and will swallow everything ...
But this does not mean the weakness of our Foreign Ministry.

Yeah .... it was they who laid the foundations for the import of cocaine from Latin American countries .. It was they who could demand from a sovereign state the expulsion of the ambassador of another state ... as Zakharova did .. demanding the expulsion of the ambassador of Ukraine from Kazakhstan ... probably confused Kazakhstan with a restaurant ... It was Zakharova who accused the Czech Republic of producing Novichok ... It was she who denied his invention .. although Putin and Patrushev said the opposite ... garbage pit of the Russian Foreign Ministry .. what does the Russian Foreign Ministry care about the state. So after all, a "competent decision" does not have an evaluation vector of "good-bad". It's just a performance measure.
And so you are right. Yes, this is international racketeering and outright gangsterism... but for them it suits them, suits them, works and benefits them. And most importantly - all the vassals obediently allow themselves to be milked and no one will utter a word. So, for the States themselves, this is more than a competent decision.
That's when it fails, when this scheme breaks down, everyone around refuses to obey, and the States collapse ... then this decision will cease to be competent for them.

I don’t feel well today, so there’s no time for controversy. Sorry. Let me just remind you about the Marshall Plan, when the United States came to Europe with it, it suited both sides, this is just a smart decision that made it possible to raise the financial component of the US economy to unprecedented heights, as well as to restore and dynamically develop the economies of European countries. And the beginning of the end of that was the first debt-backed loan.

I'll upset you a little, but the tale about the mythical DOMESTIC debt was invented by American propagandists and, with tenacity worthy of a better use, they relay this tops through a group of irresponsible Western fans who are confident in the invincibility of the dollar. This is OUTSIDE debt. This is a real, and by no means a virtual, value equivalent that the United States owes to the whole world, due to which they have been fattening since 1949 (Bretton Woods Protocol)

All world currencies are backed, including by US debt securities. That is, according to accounting, the United States owes all countries their domestic money supply. In fact, this debt does not exist, since this is the condition for the functioning of domestic currencies - they must be backed by either gold or debt securities of the ECB or the Fed. It's like gold in the treasury, which was backed by rubles. According to the law, they could be exchanged for gold, but in fact no one did this. Equity capital is the same - any joint-stock company owes everything to all its shareholders, but no one will demand it for redemption, as long as the JSC has at least some prospects. This is what is called accounting debt.

          5 October 2022 16: 16
Your answer has one remarkable student property - there are a lot of words, zero information. If we take the weighted average exchange rate of the dollar, then, taking into account the money supply spread around the world without any security, the United States owes the world about 36 (thirty-six, Carl) of its economies (meaning the manufacturing sector, otherwise called real. Stupid turnover virtual money would triple this figure). So there is no need to broadcast common truths - what and how it is called. Formally, the United States is bankrupt, the dollar is provided solely by trust in it, as a means of payment in FOREIGN markets, it is technically difficult to replace it with anything, since there is an understanding that no national currency should be an international means of payment, and there is no longer any confidence in the euro . So this is the most common debt, not accounting, which either needs to be paid or defaulted. Which will happen, as the amount of public debt service is approaching close to the value of US GDP.
          1. 0
            5 October 2022 21: 08
In order for the dollar to be abandoned, the United States must lose its influence on other countries, supported, among other things, by military bases. Europe is, in fact, under the patronage of the United States, with the renunciation of sovereignty, so this is unlikely. In the meantime, most of the world supports the current monetary system - backing national currencies with dollars - no one will demand payment on debt securities, which means that the debt will remain accounting. If there is an alternative value that the world accepts as collateral for currencies, as there was gold before, then it is possible, but the UWB will most likely stock up on this resource in advance and be able to pay off. But, again, this is not even on the horizon, cryptocurrencies could not become competitors to the dollar in terms of absolute value, a means of payment, no more.

She forgot that the US can do what the British did last century, they printed a million pound bank note and Mark Twain wrote a story about it. Americans will print trillion bills and it's in the bag. They could have printed this in Russia, and then in Germany. There will be banknotes, but no one will be able to use them. The debt will be repaid. That's how many trillions were paid off in Russia after the USSR was defeated. Plants, factories, people and more. 14 republics let themselves in with an outstretched hand around the world. Nothing needs to be produced in Russia! We will buy everything we need abroad, selling gas and oil, as well as everything else.

Although the United States trumpeted about it. Why do ENEMIES tell the truth and OURS lie to us? What's this? this is who our "servants of the people" consider us to be
As for the US national debt, Ms. Zakharova, like no one else, knows perfectly well that the US GOVERNMENT DEBT is NOT a PROBLEM of the US itself. No one in the US will ever give anything to anyone. The US national debt, no matter how big it is, is the problem of the WHOLE world. Or rather, the part that grabbed green unsecured pieces of paper. Previously, there was gold content and General DeGaulle demanded GOLD for the collected dollars from the USA. After that, the United States removed this possibility. All.

As far as I understand, in the States there is a law on the permissible limits of debt. And reaching the limit, the law is revised, and "the bar is shifted." It would be interesting to see how many times, by how much and at what time the States "shifted the bar", allowing themselves even more debt. How often do they not obey their own laws, but simply rewrite them as necessary?
