The representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry Zakharova mocked over the 31 trillion US public debt
The US public debt has exceeded $31 trillion. The official representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, Maria Zakharova, spoke ironically on this topic.
As the diplomat noted in her Telegram channel, such a high US public debt is "a real indicator of" exclusivity ". If the United States has exclusivity, then it is precisely in the amount of public debt ...
The fact that the US public debt amounted to more than 31 trillion dollars, it became known a day earlier. Basically, the debt consists of US obligations to private individuals. They owe more than $24 trillion. The remaining seven trillion dollars come from US debt obligations to other countries.
The more the US borrows, the higher the cost of servicing the public debt. In fact, America has long been living on credit. But the US leadership prefers not to solve domestic economic problems, but to focus on ensuring geopolitical dominance.
Note that back in December 2021, US President Joe Biden ordered to increase the country's public debt limit by $2,5 trillion. Thus, the US public debt crossed the mark of 31 trillion dollars. The increase in public debt of the country's authorities was associated with the consequences of the coronavirus pandemic, which had an extremely negative impact on the American economy.
The US government finances the cost of unemployment benefits with the public debt. This is an impressive amount of $5 trillion. Such high welfare costs are explained by the fact that the recession of the country's economy has led to a decrease in the number of jobs. This amount also includes support for small businesses.
Due to the economic crisis, the number of jobs in the United States began to decline. Naturally, the country's authorities have certain concerns about maintaining political and social stability. After all, a large number of unemployed people testifies to the ineffectiveness of the political and economic course chosen by the United States. But the printing press continues to work around the clock.
The US authorities should think about the prospects of their own economy and focus on solving the problems of their population, and not start global geopolitical intrigues like fomenting the Ukrainian conflict or provocations around Taiwan.
But, probably, the White House just wants to switch the attention of the country's population from internal problems to external ones. At the same time, the issue of jobs is being resolved through the conflict in Ukraine. Of course, this is only a partial solution, but the growth in military purchases inevitably entails an increase in production, and hence the need for new jobs.
