Neutrality in support: India and China refused at a meeting of the UN Security Council to condemn Russia for joining new regions

Yesterday, a regular meeting of the UN Security Council was held in New York, convened on the initiative of the United States and Albania (a non-permanent member of the UN Security Council) on the non-recognition of referendums in the DPR, LPR, Zaporozhye and Kherson regions. Russia, which is one of the five permanent members of the Security Council, vetoed the resolution. In fact, India and China (a permanent member of the UN Security Council) expressed their disagreement with the wording proposed in the final document, whose representatives abstained from signing the resolution.

In the final resolution, in particular, there was an appeal to the entire world community not to recognize the change in the status of the "Luhansk, Donetsk, Kherson and Zaporozhye regions of Ukraine", as well as their accession to Russia. In addition, Moscow was required to immediately withdraw its military forces from Ukraine.

Vasily Nebenzya, Permanent Representative of the Russian Federation to the UN, commenting on the text of the document, said that some of the colleagues on the Council violated decorum in this situation and hit the bottom. He noted that no one had ever succeeded in adopting a resolution directly condemning one of the permanent members of the Security Council. It would be strange if Russia voted ... against itself. But something else is important in the voting results. The resolution was supported by ten countries out of 15 permanent and non-permanent members of the Security Council, four abstained, including China and India. The other two countries are Brazil and Gabon.

China abstains from voting on resolution

Zhang Jun, Permanent Representative of the People's Republic of China to the UN, said.

The representative of the People's Republic of China explained his position by saying that the UN Security Council should take objective and constructive decisions aimed at the diplomatic settlement of conflicts, and not vice versa.

Indian Permanent Representative to the UN Richura Kamboj said the country would abstain from the vote:

Escalation of rhetoric and tension is in no one's interest, it is important to find a way to return to negotiations. Considering the whole evolving situation, India is abstaining from voting.

Of course, the position of New Delhi and Beijing does not mean that these countries recognize referendums and the entry of the former regions of Ukraine into the Russian Federation. They did not do this after the annexation of Crimea, and they will not do so now. At the same time, two major powers with a total population of almost three billion people, powerful growing economies have once again demonstrated that the political hegemony of the West led by Washington has come to an end.

Well, we will not remain in debt and remember the good when voting at the UN when Taiwan is annexed to China, and Kashmir returns to the Indian harbor.

Russia will also abstain from the UN vote when China annexes Taiwan.

There are many Tibetan Buddhists in Kashmir and all Kashmiris are ethnically related to the East Turkestan/Xinjiang Uighurs. Thus, China has huge claims to most of Kashmir, which was given to India by the Anglo-Saxons against the will of the Kashmiris. During the 1962 war between India and China, Kasmir was in the spotlight. So I will wait for a day to see ignorant people like you give Kashmir to India without war with China.
And while it is difficult to imagine what percentage of votes Russia would have received if the majority of Ukrainians had not already fled and could not take part in the referendum. But it is certain that even if only 2% of native Kashmiris remain in the referendum (as both the British and India's first prime minister repeatedly promised half a century ago), the result will still be in favor of Pakistan.
Maybe you should learn more about geopolitics?

        And India too..
GDP gathered the SCO and received support, not for free of course ..
So let the USA and others there squeal and fall into epilepsy ..
In general, the UN is already a chicken coop of the USA ..
It's time for another association to create a counterbalance to the United States
Russia-China-India, etc. This is a powerful force in terms of territories and population Well, and economies!
That's just the world's media so far in their hands .. That's the main problem !!! This issue needs to be resolved. Russia created RT a long time ago, but it is being blocked now and they are afraid of the Truth! Oh well

They are not our friends. However, they are not enemies. And you don't need more. One way or another, this shatters all attempts by the West to turn Russia into a besieged fortress and cut off all channels of its communication with the world.

China wants to return the rebellious counter-revolutionary Taiwan, and India wants to return Pakistan, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh, which until 1949 were a single British India, and the British monarch had the title of Emperor or Empress of India.

No, India does not lay claim to Pakistan, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka, which, by the way, was a separate British colony. India has territorial issues with Pakistan. India has a huge Muslim minority. Do you think she still dreams of getting an additional 410 million Muslims from Pakistan and Bangladesh in addition to her 180 million? Now there are about 14 percent of Muslims, in case of unification they will become more than a third of the population. By the way, at one time Burma was part of British India.

India and China have their own skeletons in the closet.
They do not want to be led by the United States, and quarrel with them and Russia.
Therefore, they acted very cunningly, took a neutral position.
But China muttered something disapproving towards the United States.

India and China have their skeletons in the closet.

It's not about "skeletons", but about living people living in the former Soviet republics, in Chinese Taiwan and Indian Kashmir. Now the United States is arranging Russophobic hysteria wherever possible. For example, universities in Kazakhstan are already occupied by American funds and sponsors. The situation is similar in other so far formally "friendly" Russia CIS countries. In fact, they have now taken a neutral position, but this is not for long. Soon European and American candy wrappers will overshadow the minds of politicians there too.

In this case, to refrain is practically to support the Russian side as opposed to the West. And they didn’t vote AGAINST for obvious reasons - China has its own problems with Taiwan and the Uyghurs, India still doesn’t want to go on the rampage and also has disputed territories. The Americans are disappointed - a united anti-Russian front did not work out.

Western hegemony led by Washington came to an end
It’s too early to talk about the end, but the fact that China has enlisted the support of the Russian Federation with at least a neutral position on the Taiwan issue is obvious. As for the rest, Russia’s veto is already making the votes of the other permanent members meaningless))) Respect to abstentions, a trifle but nice

Well, since Russian netizens are talking about Taiwan.

Let's clear up a few facts

1, Ukraine is actually more adamant than Russia on the issue of Taiwan, because all along, all Ukrainian Taiwan issues were entrusted to the Ukrainian embassy located in Moscow to act on its behalf. (Currently, it has been handed over to the Ukrainian embassy located in Poland to act on their behalf).

2, Ukraine in the last month, their parliament tried to establish contact with Taiwan, as Lithuania did, and China gave a clear signal to cancel contacts with Ukrainians. Ukraine compromised, and their ambassador said he supported the "one China" policy. This is better than the Lithuanians did, if the Ukrainians were Lithuanians, we would immediately unconditionally transport ammunition so that you turn Vilnius into a steppe.

3, belonging to Kashmir, which, according to the Chinese, belongs to Pakistan, not India. Obviously, here we, the Chinese, have a biased attitude towards Russian netizens.

Politics is complicated and therefore we cannot form a military alliance with you.

        Thanks for your resume.

In the West, they write that Xi will try to resolve the situation in Taiwan by military means by 2030. Do you think this is realistic? My impression is that the Taiwanese do not want to sacrifice themselves for the US, even if they do not want to join the mainland today.

In fact, China is already in a trade war with the US that is already raging at Trump's behest, and without the use of Taiwan, war will break out any day before Russia and Ukraine. What then did Russia do for China, may I ask?

We cannot wait for a war against Taiwan.

And when this happens, we understand that it will have serious consequences for our lives, but we will tolerate it, causing as much damage to the United States and Japan as possible.

In absolute isolation and without friends, we prepared for war and mutual destruction against Taiwan, Japan and the United States at the same time.

The Chinese really love their children, and since war is inevitable, let's get through it and not let it happen to our children.

In general, this is called interference in the internal affairs of the country. And here is a very good example of what might follow:

Neutrality in support: India and China refused at a meeting of the UN Security Council to condemn Russia for joining new regions

This refusal to vote can be considered an approval, but no more. It is too early to talk about support, because to support means to provide real help. Another one is disturbing. Here is a diagram of the composition of the UN Security Council by continent:

Can anyone tell me why two out of three countries in Africa voted against recognition? And this is after the GDP collected them, forgave the debts, after Russia sends food there ...
Only one thing is clear: in the near future, the remnants of Ukraine must be deprived of Nazi statehood and demilitarized.
After that, it will become easier to speak ...

China and India were surprised that they did not support Russia in the UNESCO Security Council, neutrality is neither for you nor for the enemy. Where will they look tomorrow? It is necessary to explain to them intelligibly that they are the next victims of the Western Hawks. That only together can the Western Coalition be defeated in terms of the Market and the vitality of their currencies in relation to the $ and Euro, as well as in the military component. China may collide with the United States over Taiwan. Russia openly supported China in this matter, but what are they ??? According to ancient history, crafty China, but in the New Age their strategy is not good, it can turn against them.

Abstinence is a pressure sharing technique because everyone knows that one vote decides everything.

With the constant expansion of the UN Security Council, quite a lot of things will happen, and one country will definitely come forward and veto everything. But behind this is the will of everyone, although both Russia and the US say they support the idea of India becoming a permanent member of the UN Security Council.
