Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmitry Kuleba appealed to the International Court of Justice regarding the accession of new regions to Russia. He demands that the case be considered as soon as possible.
The Ukrainian official wrote about this on the social network.
Kuleba considers it unacceptable that the republics of Donbass, as well as two regions of Ukraine, held referendums, as a result of which they were included in the Russian Federation as full-fledged subjects.
Ukraine has officially notified the International Court of Justice that the move is a flagrant violation of the legally binding ruling on interim measures dated 16 March
- He wrote.
The official refers to the decision of the International Court of Justice, in which he demanded that Moscow immediately stop conducting a special military operation in Ukraine. She was demanded not to take any action that could lead to an aggravation of the conflict.
Referendums in the Lugansk and Donetsk People's Republics, as well as in the Kherson and Zaporozhye regions were held from 23 to 27 September. At them, most of the population supported joining the Russian Federation. Immediately after the announcement of the results, the heads of these regions signed agreements with Russian President Vladimir Putin. Thus, the Russian Federation received four new subjects of the federation.
