US press comments on Trump's proposal to mediate negotiations between Kyiv and Moscow

The 45th President of the United States, Donald Trump, who intends to become the 47th President of the United States, made a proposal that some American experts called "the knight's move" or "a proposal that drives the Biden administration into a corner." According to Trump, he offers his services as an intermediary in negotiations between Kyiv and Moscow.

Trump:

It is quite obvious that both Kyiv and Moscow want an agreement. The whole world is at stake. What if I lead the negotiating team...

As noted in those American media that are more controlled by the Republicans, such a proposal actually means an acknowledgment of the fact that the current US authorities could put Zelensky at the negotiating table, but they themselves do not want to do this. Trump, making a truly original move, says that if Washington is not capable of making sensible decisions, then he is ready to do it for them, that is, for the administration of the incumbent president.

Olivia Murray from The American Thinker, commenting on the situation, writes that Trump in this case allows his opponent, Biden, to be trolled:

And this trolling is political magic. He corners them. After all, the warmongers from today's White House must either refuse the intermediary services of a person with vast international experience, or agree to conclude a truce deal to relieve the accumulated global tension.

Earlier, the head of the Kyiv regime, Zelensky, said that "after the referenda, no negotiations with Russia are possible." Now he has changed his rhetoric to this option: "As long as Putin is the president of Russia, negotiations are impossible."

Trump makes it clear that negotiations are always possible, and today they are in the interests of Kyiv as well.

Trump - a child with pure brains? Yes, he works for his company, but they won’t really give him anything to do.

In fact, Trump is the ONLY US President who has stopped, not started, wars.
Obama thoroughly screwed him up in the end, severely limiting his power, so that Trump was not so much doing new things as trying to fix what Obama had done.
Although Trump by nature is more of a cowboy than a leader. He would have a ranch, but a herd of cows, there he will be in his place. But the rest are worse than him.

He will restore the joint venture as it was, punish those who threw votes against him in the elections, etc.
Trump is just a PR stunt...

Before the election of the President of the United States, there are still two years, actually. They start PR not earlier than half a year, and even better three months, otherwise all the sweets for hamsters will end before the elections and they will simply forget about the "most worthy" candidate. All this also applies to the Russian Federation: only with an adjustment for the choice of a state fool - a month, local tridvaras - two weeks.

Was it not under him that the most ambitious sanctions against Russia began to be introduced?
The Americans cannot be trusted at all. All their presidents are just lobbyists for their mega-corporations.

Of course they are. But only with reasonable people.
And with whom in this case "negotiate"?
The President of America is in deep dementia. The president of the outskirts is in deep prostration.

They didn’t tell you that you shouldn’t listen, but you should watch what a person is doing, Trump did Russia’s nasty things much more than his predecessors, his ban on cheap loans for Russia forced our government to tighten tax laws and introduce new fees, this was one of his first presidential decrees. He is an acting oligarch and knows how to bend over and moreover knows how to do it. So don't be fooled.

Trump can seize the initiative from Biden with this move, but only for the purpose of gaining power, and not for a peaceful solution to the conflict in Ukraine. Having received power, he will leave everything as before, but he can also aggravate the situation even more. If someone in Russia thinks that they need to grasp at Trump like a straw, then this will be another naive mistake.
