US press comments on Trump's proposal to mediate negotiations between Kyiv and Moscow
The 45th President of the United States, Donald Trump, who intends to become the 47th President of the United States, made a proposal that some American experts called "the knight's move" or "a proposal that drives the Biden administration into a corner." According to Trump, he offers his services as an intermediary in negotiations between Kyiv and Moscow.
Trump:
As noted in those American media that are more controlled by the Republicans, such a proposal actually means an acknowledgment of the fact that the current US authorities could put Zelensky at the negotiating table, but they themselves do not want to do this. Trump, making a truly original move, says that if Washington is not capable of making sensible decisions, then he is ready to do it for them, that is, for the administration of the incumbent president.
Olivia Murray from The American Thinker, commenting on the situation, writes that Trump in this case allows his opponent, Biden, to be trolled:
Earlier, the head of the Kyiv regime, Zelensky, said that "after the referenda, no negotiations with Russia are possible." Now he has changed his rhetoric to this option: "As long as Putin is the president of Russia, negotiations are impossible."
Trump makes it clear that negotiations are always possible, and today they are in the interests of Kyiv as well.
