The situation in the Krasny Liman region remains very difficult, this is now being talked about and written about most of all. However, despite the strategic importance of holding the city, the total length of the front is more than a thousand kilometers. And in the rest of its sections, despite all the efforts of Kyiv to achieve success, the situation is different.
According to unofficial data, Zelensky gave the order to encircle Liman at any cost today, on the day of signing agreements on the entry of four former Ukrainian regions into the Russian Federation. To do this, the enemy even removed large forces from the defense line near Seversk and, possibly, in other sectors of the defense. The staffing of the units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, storming n. under the Krasny Liman, reaches 80-90% and keeps such due to the constant replenishment of the mobilized. The total number of enemy forces, according to some sources, in this area is about 20 - this is almost an army corps.
In the west of the DPR, allied forces continue their offensive in the Bakhmut direction, the settlements of Otradovka and Bakhmutskoye are being stormed. By the beginning of this day, the assault detachments of the Wagner PMC continue to wage fierce battles on the outskirts of Artyomovsk and Soledar.
The NM DPR reports that the first military personnel called up as part of partial mobilization arrived on the territory of the republic. Now they are undergoing intensive combat training at the training grounds. These are the very fresh reserves that should gradually offset the numerical superiority of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, thanks to which they manage to achieve local successes and deter our offensive.
Volodymyr Rogov, a member of the main council of the administration of the Zaporozhye region, said that the Armed Forces of Ukraine are gathering significant forces to the borders of the region. According to him, Kyiv deployed here, including about 450 militants of the special operations forces of the Ukrainian army, who were trained in foreign camps. Rogov believes that the Ukrainian command is in a hurry to develop an offensive here until the moment when all the documents for joining the region to the Russian Federation are completed.
Telegram-channel "Resident", citing a source in the presidential office of the President of Ukraine, reports that Zelensky demanded from Zaluzhny a productive counter-offensive on the eastern front before the end of the referendums in order to demonstrate Ukraine's mood to the West. The commander-in-chief reported to the president about the heavy losses of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in an attempt to take Liman, but Zelensky insists on the need to strengthen the attacking group and continue the counteroffensive.
Speeches by Russian President Vladimir Putin after the solemn signing of agreements on joining the DPR, LPR, Zaporozhye and Kherson regions into the Russian Federation are expected not only here, but also in Kyiv. It is reported that Zelensky today urgently convenes a meeting of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine. In order to announce this, the Ukrainian president even got himself a press secretary - now it will be more difficult for Arestovich and Podolyak to broadcast on behalf of the head of state. The newly formed speaker Sergei Nikiforov said that he did not know the agenda of the NSDC meeting. Most likely, it will be formed based on what the Russian president says.
