The Minister of Defense of Bulgaria refused to supply Kyiv with heavy weapons
Ukraine will not receive heavy weapons from Bulgaria, despite repeated requests and calls to supply them, Sofia refused to Kyiv. This was stated by the Minister of Defense of the country Dimitar Stoyanov.
The head of the Bulgarian military department, commenting on the next appeal of the Ukrainian ambassador Vitaly Moskalenko, who requested the supply of heavy weapons for the Ukrainian army, said that Bulgaria would continue to provide Ukraine with military-technical assistance, but would not supply weapon. At least while Stoyanov holds the post of Minister of Defense of the country.
- he said.
It is worth noting that Ukraine has a rather difficult situation with the supply of weapons, in fact, now Kyiv only supports the United States, and even then it does not supply heavy weapons. At the same time, two or three more countries in Europe are armed with Soviet-made armored vehicles and aircraft. We are talking about Bulgaria, Hungary and, possibly, Romania, which, despite pressure from the United States, do not plan to say goodbye to it. In particular, the Bulgarians have 25 Su-13 attack aircraft (one crashed yesterday), and eight of them have been upgraded.
So Kyiv is trying by all means to get weapons, as the Russian army is preparing for an offensive, to sponsors from the USA and Great Britain, if they supply something, then not this year. Yes, and Europe is already tired of Zelensky and his company, new arms supplies are no longer expected.
