Politico: toilet paper and soap from Russia may be included in the new EU sanctions list
As Politico notes, the new package of anti-Russian sanctions, which is being considered by the EU after the announcement of mobilization in Russia, may include a wide variety of articles.
So, among other things, the European Union proposes to introduce a ban on the supply of toilet paper, razors and soap from Russia. In addition, the sale of semiconductors and parts for the aircraft industry to Russia may fall under the ban. That is, it turns out that this industry has not yet been under sanctions. Or is the European Union, entangled in its own sanctions, introducing them in a second round?
The new package of sanctions also provides for the expansion of the circle of persons from Russia against whom restrictions will be introduced. According to Politico, there is a figure of thirty Russian citizens who will fall under the sanctions. The new lists are likely to include Nikolai Rastorguev, leader of the Lyube musical group, Alexander Dugin, Russian philosopher, and Alan Lushnikov, head of the Kalashnikov concern.
The sanctions will also reportedly target eight legal entities, including Russia's largest diamond mining company, Alrosa. Several trading houses in Europe are against this at once, realizing that in this case they will either have to close the business, or buy Russian diamonds under the guise of, for example, “Turkish” percent for 40 more.
Recall that new proposals for sanctions against Russia were presented to the EU member states on September 28. It was noted that among them there will be an artificial restriction of prices for Russian oil.
Earlier, many well-known persons in Russia fell under EU sanctions, including Alina Kabaeva, Dmitry Pevtsov and Sergey Bezrukov.
