Everyone who decides to buy a gun and / or a traumatic pistol should first figure out which weapon can be purchased and how to obtain all necessary permits.
1. The first type of weapon is hunting shotguns, and your first gun can only be single-barreled or double-barreled. Shop hunting rifles you can only buy after two years of owning a single-barreled gun or a double-barreled gun - this is the law!
2. The other type you can buy is "OOOP" firearms of limited destruction or simply "injury".
To purchase a weapon, you will need to obtain a document for its purchase - a license from the LG series “Zelenka” (a license for the purchase of one unit of firearms, smooth-bore long-barreled weapons).

1. Medical certificate
The first thing you must do is to pass an examination for the absence of contraindications to owning a weapon. Such a medical commission in Moscow and the region can only be passed in state medical institutions. The sequence of passing such a commission is determined by the order of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation of November 26.11.2021, 1104, number XNUMXn. Based on the results of the examination, you receive a certificate stating that you have passed the medical commission “On the absence of contraindications to the possession of weapons”, while the conclusion itself is sent to the National Guard in electronic form. You will need an extract to conclude a training agreement. It is issued on demand in the medical institution.
2. Training in safe handling of weapons and testing of knowledge and skills in safe handling of weapons
Training in the handling of weapons for obtaining a license includes the following sections: it is legal training and shooting training.
The total training time is more than 5 hours. The exam is taken by the inspector of the National Guard. The exam itself consists of two parts, theoretical and practical.
1. The theoretical part is computer testing. Try to take the test online.
2. The practical part is the implementation of three exercises. You can find more details about them in appendix number one to the order of the Federal Service of the National Guard Troops of the Russian Federation of December 26, 2018, number 661.
! The candidate who passed the exam receives a certificate and an act of checking knowledge of the safe handling of weapons.
A candidate who has not passed computer testing is not allowed to shoot. You can retake the test after 10 days.
All candidates who passed the computer test, but received a “failed” mark in shooting, can also retake the shooting after 10 days, while the theory “pass” will be credited within 6 months. For example, in one of the Moscow shooting complexes "CALIBR" one retake is free. Those candidates who did not cope with the practical part are recommended to take an additional training with an instructor and individually analyze their mistakes.
Gun safe
So, you have passed the medical examination, completed the training, now you should think about purchasing a safe, as you will be checking the conditions for storing weapons. Requirements for the storage of weapons are defined in Article 59 of the Decree of the Government of the Russian Federation of July 21, 1998 No. 814 in the latest edition. There shouldn't be any problems here.
After buying a safe
You are applying to the Russian Guard for the issuance of an LH for the purchase of the type of weapon you specified. The application is submitted through the LC of the website "GOUSLUG".
Buying weapons and obtaining permits
After your application is accepted for consideration, you will be sent a receipt for payment of the state fee, now it is 1400 rubles per item. You will be tested for the reliability of saving weapons. And in relation to you, a check will be carried out on the possibility of issuing a license to purchase weapons.
If you want to purchase several weapons, then you need to submit a separate application for each weapon.
The decision on the issuance or refusal of "green" is made within 30 days. When there is a positive decision, you will be notified of the time and place of delivery of the coveted license.
! It is valid for 6 months, during this period you must purchase a weapon and register it with the National Guard department within 14 days, changing the "green" for a ROHA series card (it is also a permit). If you have not purchased a weapon within six months, then the license must be surrendered or renewed.
