A column of Dutch armored personnel carriers YPR-765 of the Armed Forces of Ukraine near Andreevka was defeated by Russian BMD
The enemy does not leave attempts to advance in the Kherson direction, throwing into battle reserves that have accumulated over several months due to military assistance from the West. One of the forces holding back the Armed Forces of Ukraine in this section of the theater of operations are units of the 76th Guards Air Assault Division.
Russian fighters recorded with drones footage of the defeat of the Ukrainian column on the Dutch YPR-765 armored personnel carriers near the village of Andreevka, Kherson region. The armored personnel carriers of the enemy stretched out in a row along a narrow country road. Finding equipment in close formation on the march made it easier to destroy it.
The blow to the column was delivered by airborne combat vehicles. The video shows shots flying towards the enemy, apparently from a 30-mm cannon. Guns of this caliber are in service with BMD-2/3 (gun 2A42) or BMD-4M (2A72). At the same time, the YPR-765 in the armored personnel carrier version is equipped exclusively with heavy machine guns, which significantly limits the combat potential of the Dutch equipment, in particular, the possibility of self-defense.
Judging by the trajectory of the projectiles, the airborne combat vehicles firing were on the same level with the enemy, ambushing him, and most likely, located in the forest belt. The only adequate solution for the enemy in this situation was to withdraw from the battle, and it was he who was chosen by the crews of the armored personnel carrier, who tried to drive through the shelling area at high speed, ignoring the wrecked cars of their fellow soldiers.
The next day, another column of YPR-765 passed along the same road, fixing the destroyed equipment of their “brothers” nearby.
