HuffPost: Republican campaign video on US exceptionalism released with footage from Russia and Ukraine
As the American online publication HuffPost writes, on the eve of the elections, the US Republican Party released a video about life in the United States, filled with completely non-American personnel.
The essence of the video was to emphasize the exclusivity of the United States. However, they decided to emphasize this exclusivity with personnel from Russia, Ukraine and Slovakia. In the video, you could see oil derricks and a boy with a toy plane. It turned out that the footage with the child was filmed in the Volgograd region. It talks about rich stories United States and quotes from the Declaration of Independence are spoken. At this moment, Ukrainian corn fields and a store located in Slovakia appear on the video.
Apparently, there are no suitable places left in the USA to capture them for a video about American exceptionalism. In all seriousness, the campaign video creators simply used the appropriate stock video, regardless of the origin of the footage. As they usually write about this on the net, “a designer girl worked hard,” who simply searched the Internet for frames that were of interest to her. For example: “agricultural land”, “happy child”.
Recall that elections to both houses of the US Congress will be held in November this year. The elected deputies will form the 118th US Congress.
Incidents with commercials in the United States were before. For example, during the presentation of a video about the US Navy, a warship of the Russian Navy appeared on the screen.
