The history of the creation of the Kalashnikov AK-12

16

The AK-12 Kalashnikov assault rifle, which is currently in service with the RF Armed Forces, was originally created from scratch and was supposed to become a fundamentally new model in the line of the legendary weapons.

The development was carried out as part of the ROC "Warrior" by order of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, and the design of the machine and its functionality had to take into account all the nuances of modern combat.

In 2013, as part of the aforementioned R & D, the first sample was created and sent for preliminary tests.

However, the machine did not pass the test. At the same time, due to the lost time, the company had to design a new product in the shortest possible time.

As a result, the newly created group deeply reworked the existing design, taking into account the developments of previous models. Ultimately, the new machine was created as a result of a deep modernization of regular versions.

From 2018 to 2020, the AK-12 was actively used by the troops, which made it possible to make final improvements to the product based on the requirements of the Russian Ministry of Defense.

The machine gun adopted for service received a number of advantages, ranging from high accuracy and accuracy of shooting to design features. In particular, the AK-12 turned out to be lighter than its predecessors, received a folding buttstock adjustable in length and became more functional in terms of the use of optical systems. In addition, the new version of the legendary submachine gun is capable of firing in short bursts of 2 shots and has received magazines with the ability to visually control the consumption of ammunition.

Today, the 5,45 mm AK-12 Kalashnikov assault rifle is the main model of individual small arms for the personnel of motorized rifle and other units of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation.

All the same, "Schmeiser's ears" stick out. When the monument to Kalashnikov was unveiled at the Belorussky railway station, he had a "Schmeiser" in his hands. And nobody cared. Until a meticulous amateur historian was found and pointed out the absurdities. And even then, after some time, the author of the monument and his henchmen, cursing this historian, did everything right.

There was a release on Kalashnikov media with an analysis of "Schmeiser's ears" and they quite intelligibly explained that there were no "Schmeisers" there, but there are similar features, like half a firearm, in principle.

Garand's ears - the basis for the design of the locking unit and the principle of operation of the trigger borrowed from the Czechs, it is. But design, unlike invention, consists in taking all the best and competently arranging. The inventor is the scourge of production, so invention is justified only when existing solutions do not allow success.

Oh... and what a fool... oh, sorry, adherents of the sect of Schmeiser's Witnesses go to the topvar? Wow, and as soon as these individuals manage to register on the site. Well, since you’ve come in, tell the world the true truth that the Kamunyaki hid from us ... and yes, tell us in more detail what STG and Kalashnikov have in common ...

Schmeiser ears sit in all assault rifles as an intermediate cartridge concept. M-60 US piglet generally degraded clone of MG-42

Correct me, but most of the changes are cosmetic. The body kit and new cover do not make the AK-12 a new assault rifle.

Well, for AK, this is a lot now. However, there are actually a lot of changes, just not all of them are noticeable, although you are still right.

Looking at the machine involuntarily thoughts arise
1 why does he need such a long "picatinny", like in any case, I think all removable sights should have a single standardized fastener and there is no need for a half-meter bar
2 why not move the aiming sight to the muzzle compensator, this will immediately increase the aiming line by ten centimeters

Today I held this machine in my hands. Of course, disassembly-assembly like the AKM-74 or AK-47 will no longer work. And I really liked the ergonomics. Especially aiming device. And adjusting the butt is just a "dream of my childhood", no need to additionally bend long arms, and you can no longer "lean" against the receiver cover with your cheek. Still, of course, to shoot, but this is unlikely to succeed. Although ... And about holding the AK-12 in my hands, and speaking of taking it apart, I didn’t even dream, but ... The bayonet-knife is generally “fire”, of course, I just held it, twisted it in my hands but the thing. With bayonets from the AKS-74 with which he "communicated" on the urgent "heaven and earth". I’ll make a reservation right away, I’m not a pro in this matter, but honestly I’m very delighted ...

An unnecessary discussion, I studied so much and all in vain, there are still semi-educated people here and they will talk nonsense from Schmeiser, no, this is not a German submachine gun. This is always a Russian submachine gun and its clones. This is a very good weapon. soldier am

Some units of the Czech legionnaires had these machine guns in Siberia and brought them home to Czechoslovakia. More machine guns were brought by Czechoslovak legionnaires from France. Kulomothe fought in Slovakia against the Hungarians in 1919 and was quite successful. However, later the ZB model 26 was introduced into the troops. Thanks to the author, I liked the article. am

So what? After removing and installing the receiver cover with an optical sight, do not you need to shoot the weapon in a new way? Then it should be a very rigid and difficult detail.

Slightly improved ergonomics and added a gear to cut off after two shots. That's all. The product does not differ from the AK-74 and from the early version of the AKM ... In short, a fly swatter ... nothing more ..
