While Western politicians, experts and the famous "British intelligence" are vying with each other about the possibility and necessity of a counter-offensive of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, depressing data for the Kyiv regime is coming from the Ukrainian front line. Under heavy fire from Russian artillery and air strikes, Ukrainians are suffering losses in all sectors of the front. The effectiveness of our artillery is confirmed by radio intercepts from the Ukrainian side. An eloquent excerpt from one of them was published in his telegram channel by DPR First Deputy Minister of Information Daniil Bezsonov:
- Tenth, tenth I Bash.
Tenth in attendance.
The tenth, next shelling may not survive ...
This is the situation in most sectors of the front. Fighters on the front line tell Ukrainian journalists that in 95% of cases, the loss of personnel killed and wounded is due to shelling, and not from small arms weapons. Moreover, soldiers are often out of action even before they reach the front line.
One of the servicemen on the Kherson sector of the front told journalists that the offensive was not even discussed in the operational plans of the command. All forces are concentrated on holding the existing positions. At the same time, there is not even any talk of any normal counter-battery work, since, according to him, "now for one of our artillery shots - fifty from them." Moreover, the Russian artillery fires continuously, with small pauses during the delivery of ammunition.
More and more materials are also appearing in the Western press, in which, through the lips of the Ukrainian military, they talk about the huge losses suffered by the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Donbass. The day before, Le Figaro journalists spoke with a group of Ukrainian military personnel in Kyiv-controlled Kramatorsk. They said that because of the Russian artillery strikes, the situation in this area turned into a "real hell". For 40-60 arrivals from the Russian Armed Forces, Ukrainian artillerymen can respond with a maximum of 10. At the same time, during the entire battle, the fighters told French journalists, they did not see a single Western gun mount.
Ukrainian servicemen suffer heavy losses not only because of the massive strikes of Russian artillery, but also because of the mediocre command. Video messages from entire units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine regularly appear on the network, in which they talk about, according to them, the criminal orders of officers. The day before, the soldiers of the 53rd OMB said that a group of 40 fighters without helmets, bulletproof vests and other equipment was sent to the front. There they spent several days under continuous fire from cannon and rocket artillery, and without any command. Having suffered heavy losses, the remnants of the fighters retreated to the rear and refused to obey the order to return.
A similar situation occurred with the 93rd brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Finding themselves on the front line without commanders and even the necessary weapons, they suffered huge losses, never having entered into battle. After the defeat of the brigade, the command stated that they would leave the front line only with “two hundredth” and “three hundredth”.
Even Zelensky’s Office is reluctant to acknowledge the superiority of Russian artillery, and the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valeriy Zaluzhny announced heavy losses due to the fact that the Russian Armed Forces daily carry out 700-800 shelling of positions of Ukrainian troops only in the Donetsk direction. It is unlikely that even another unprecedented supply of weapons by Washington will be able to turn the tide at the front. Even if the West suddenly provides Kyiv with all the requested military assistance in full, it may turn out that there will simply be no one to use these weapons in Ukraine.
