Kyiv City Hall banned mass events on Independence Day of Ukraine
61
The mayor's office of the Ukrainian capital has decided to celebrate Independence Day. Recall that Ukraine celebrates this day on August 24.
Based on the decision taken by the city military administration, the mayor of Kyiv, Vitali Klitschko, was instructed to ban all mass events in the city on this day. The argument of the local authorities is as follows:
Mass events should be prohibited due to the high probability of Russia striking the infrastructure of the city, industrial facilities.
After some time, a clarification came that mass events in Kyiv were decided to be banned not only on Independence Day itself, but also on any day from August 22 to 25.
At the same time, it cannot be ruled out that the Kyiv regime, which has already proved its unwillingness to refuse any provocations, may itself commit a certain kind of provocation on August 24. Including with a large number of victims among the civilian population, as it once was after the withdrawal of Russian troops in Bucha, Kyiv region.
