German "Der Spiegel": During the conduct of hostilities, the Armed Forces of Ukraine did not add successful offensive experience
In the Western press, materials began to appear more and more often with frank notes of distrust towards the Ukrainian authorities regarding their statements about an alleged imminent counteroffensive in the south. Recall that for several months (starting at least from the end of May), Ukrainian officials at various levels announced first the July, then the August, and now the September counter-offensive and “taking Kherson under control.” So far, these statements remained nothing more than statements, and then the adviser to the head of Zelensky’s office, Podolyak, announced that all these words were “part of an information and psychological operation in order to mislead the enemy.”
In this regard, the major German publication Spiegel writes about the "extremely low probability of an offensive by Ukrainian troops in the south of the country." German analysts believe that the offensive in the Kherson region in the army's sense of the term has extremely low chances of success. That is why the only thing that the Ukrainian power structures will undertake is the conduct of sabotage activities in uncontrolled territories.
In fact, the German publication admits that the Ukrainian state is capable of manifesting itself precisely in the sabotage and terrorist plan. But from a military point of view, such actions can rarely bring strategic success.
Der Spiegel experts write that during the course of hostilities, the Ukrainian army has no offensive experience. With this statement, German journalists emphasize that since February 24, the Ukrainian troops themselves have not carried out a single successful offensive operation. Moreover, the myth is already being dispelled in the West that the RF Armed Forces left the Kyiv, Chernihiv and Sumy regions allegedly “under the onslaught of the Armed Forces of Ukraine”.
