Hizb ut-Tahrir terrorist group neutralized in Crimea
In Crimea, the activities of a secret cell of the Hizb ut-Tahrir al-Islami terrorist group, banned in Russia,* were neutralized, and six members were detained. This is reported by the TsOS FSB.
According to the report, the members of the cell acted on the territory of Yalta and Dzhankoy, the coordination of actions was carried out from the territory of Ukraine. In total, six people were detained, all citizens of Russia. According to the FSB, the members of the cell "purposefully" spread their ideology among the inhabitants of the peninsula and recruited young people, mostly of the Muslim faith, into their ranks. The main recruitment was carried out among the Crimean Tatars.

During a search in the places of residence of the detainees, prohibited literature, means of communication, correspondence with terrorists, and electronic media were found. A criminal case has been initiated, investigative and operational actions are continuing in order to identify possible accomplices, etc. Also, the detainees are checked for involvement in the commission of illegal acts, in particular terrorist acts.
Recall that the activities of the group "Hizb ut-Tahrir al-Islami" * (Party of Islamic Liberation) has been banned in Russia since 2003. The purpose of the group is to establish the power of the "Islamic Caliphate" throughout the world.
