This was reported by the Estonian broadcasting company ERR.
In the morning, about two dozen cars of the police and other law enforcement agencies arrived at the monument erected in the Russian city of Narva, located in Estonia, as the dismantling is scheduled for today. Activists and members of the press who were on duty near the tank were asked not to interfere and leave. Law enforcement officers cordoned off the monument and blocked the roads leading to it.
Earlier, the head of the government of this country, Kaya Kallas, said that the authorities were in favor of dismantling all monuments of the USSR era. This means that the Estonian authorities have prepared such a fate for the Soviet T-34 tank standing in the Russian city of Narva.
Estonian Foreign Minister Urmas Reinsalu threatened foreigners staying in Estonia on the basis of a residence permit to deprive them of this document and deport them from the country if they take part in protests against the demolition of Soviet monuments.
